Joseph Chubb enters his 9th season as Head Coach and 10th overall with the Cedar Cliff Swimming & Diving program. He is the Aquatics Specialist at the Derry Township Community Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Lebanon Valley College (2014) with a degree in Early Childhood & Special Education, and a Hershey High School alumnus (2010), Joseph has been part of the central Pennsylvania swimming community for decades as both an athlete and coach.
As a swimmer, Joseph competed for Hershey Country Club, Hershey Aquatic Club, Palmyra Aquatic Club, Hershey High School, and Lebanon Valley College. His primary events included the 100 and 200 freestyle in high school, and the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle in college.
With a lifelong passion for swimming, along with certifications as a Red Cross and Ellis Lifeguard Instructor and Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Joseph is dedicated to fostering athlete growth, teamwork, and excellence both in and out of the water.
Evan Beatty has been a lifelong swimmer, beginning her competitive journey at just five years old and continuing through her senior year of college. A graduate of Hershey High School, Evan was a four-time varsity letter winner and district qualifier, specializing in the 200 and 500 freestyle events. She continued her swimming career at Juniata College, where she focused on the 1650 freestyle and 400 IM.
In addition to her swimming background, Evan was a collegiate track and field athlete and now serves as a throws coach for Hershey High School. She earned her degree in Biology and worked at the National Aquarium before transitioning into education. Currently, Evan is the Recreation Coordinator at the Derry Township Community Center.
Outside of the pool, Evan is an accomplished dog sport competitor, participating in Dock Diving, Frisbee, and Fast CAT with her dog, Lasso. Together, they compete at both national and international levels.
Evan is thrilled to return for her second year coaching the Colts and looks forward to sharing her passion for swimming and competition. She previously coached at Merritt Athletic Clubs in Maryland and continues to bring that same enthusiasm and expertise to every practice.
Jeff Ludwick joins the Cedar Cliff Swimming & Diving program for his 4th season as the head diving coach Diving Coach, bringing with him decades of coaching and aquatics leadership experience. Over his career, Jeff has coached at multiple programs including Titusville YMCA, Oil City YMCA, Oil City High School, South Middleton Swim Club, Boiling Springs High School, Milford Chase Swim Club, and West Shore YMCA.
A graduate of Titusville High School, Jeff went on to earn his B.S. in Physical Education & Health from Slippery Rock University, followed by a Master’s degree from both Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Clarion University. He later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, Georgia (2022).
Jeff has also served as Director of Aquatics & Teaching for the Oil City YMCA, South Middleton School District, and South Middleton Parks & Recreation for over 13 years. As an athlete, he swam competitively for the Titusville YMCA, Titusville High School, and Slippery Rock University, where he also competed in water polo. He continues his passion for the sport as a Masters swimmer.
Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Cedar Cliff program, helping to develop athletes’ skills, confidence, and love for the sport of diving.
