I completed my PhD in 2023 in Computer Science at the university of Milano Bicocca (Milan, Italy) under the supervision of Prof. Alex Graudenzi, Prof. Giulio Caravagna and Prof. Marco Antoniotti, after being a visiting PhD student at University of Trieste (Italy) with Prof. Giulio Caravagna and a visiting PhD student at Weill Cornell University (NY, USA) in 2022 with Dr. Dawid Nowak. I have been a postdoc in the CCG group since 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Simone Zaccaria.
My background is in Computer Science and the goal of my research is to use my computational background to design and develop methods and pipelines to analyse tumour sequencing data. Currently my primary focus is single-cell whole genome sequencing data: I'm working on Copy Number Variation (CNV) at the single-cell level and on the development of a pipeline to perform raw data analysis. Within my PhD I acquired expertise in the analysis and integration of multi-omics data developing CONGAS+, a method to call CNVs from single-cell gene expression and chromatin accessibility data. I also acquired bioinformatics analysis skills to analyse large-scale single-cell sequencing data from Patient Derived Organoids, that I am currently leveraging to develop a Nextflow pipeline for single-cell DNA sequencing raw data analysis.
