Our project team is made up of five researchers, Health Sciences University professors with extensive training and experience

Laura Visiers (Main Researcher)

PhD in Nursing, Master’s Degree in Senior Management in Health Services and Business Management, Master’s Degree in Nursing Services Management and European Expert in Quality Management in the Health Sector.

Since 2010, Laura is a professor at the San Rafael-Nebrija University, where she is also the Nursing Degree Practicum Coordinator since 2013.

Lara Martínez

PhD candidate in Research Applied to Health Sciences International doctorate at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the University of Leon and the university of Tra-os-Montes e Alto Douro (Portugal). Degree in Humanities awarded by the European University of Madrid and Degree in Nursing from the Complutense University of Madrid (CEU – Hospital del aire nursing school). She is currently coordinating the final dissertation within the Nursing Degree and she is full time professor at the methodology research course at the San Rafael-Nebrija University.

Isabel Baeza

PhD in Biology at the Complutense University in Madrid (2009). Accredited by ANECA for the categories of Private University Doctor Professor, Doctor Hired Professor and Doctor Assistant Professor. Since 2010 she is a professor at the San Rafael-Nebrija University Centre, teaching different courses wirhin the Nursing and Physiotherapy degrees. She is also the international relations coordinator and coordinator of the Area of ​​Spirituality, Culture and Values.

Dolores Nieto

Degree in Psychology, Master’s degree in Methodology of Behavioural and Health Sciences and PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology at the Autonomous University of Madrid. She is currently a professor of Psychometry in the Degree in Psychology at the Antonio de Nebrija University, where she also works as a Student Coordinator.

Laia Raigal

Degree in Nursing (Universitat Rovira I Virgili) and in Psychology (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya). Master’s degree in Research in 2016 and PhD in Cultural Competence in Health Professionals in 2019. She has taught at four different universities, more recently at the University College Cork. She is currently studying a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Trials at University College Cork.

  • Academic training: Doctoral degrees, three of them in Nursing, one in Biology and another in Clinical and Health Psychology, ensuring a comprehensive and multidisciplinary vision to the project. They have different levels of accreditation and up to two six-year research periods recognized by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the National Commission for the Evaluation of Research Activity (CNAI).

  • Patient care experience: more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice.

  • Management experience: practicum coordination, final dissertation coordination at degree level, International Coordination.

  • International experience: since 2017 they have participated in the Florence Network of European Universities and, since 2019, as members of its academic and research committee. High level of English, French, Italian and Portuguese in the team.

  • Research experience: they are members of different research groups related to innovation, design and impact on health. Authors of multiple publications in journals indexed in JCR and participants in national and international congresses and conferences. External evaluators in scientific journals. Evaluators of research projects in public calls.

  • Experience in data analysis: psychometric models and applications.

  • Experience in competency assessment: since 2016 with extensive scientific production.

  • Experience in cultural competences: author of the translation, cultural adaptation and validation of the main instrument used in the research for the Spanish and Portuguese versions. Participation in the validation of the instrument into Turkish.
