About the Catskill Regional Teacher Center
Catskill Regional Teacher Center (CRTC) is one of 124 Teacher Centers found throughout New York State. The CRTC is a large consortium center providing resources and professional development for all teachers, both private and public in the DCMO and ONC Geographic region. The Teacher Center is overseen by a Policy Board that is required by Education Law 316 to be comprised of 51% teachers. This makes our catchphrase "For Teachers By Teachers", very accurate.
Our programs and resources are available for all teachers, including early childhood, preservice, public and private school teachers as well as LTA's.
Teacher Centers are grant-funded annually through legislative action. Information about our programs is sent out through a building ambassador network.
We are a part of the Southern Tier Teacher Center Network
We believe schools are served best by strong teacher leaders and this occurs when teachers are responsible for their on-going professional learning and development.
