About the Southern Tier Teacher Center Network

The Southern Tier Teacher Centers’ Network (STTCN) is geographically situated in New York’s Southern Tier from the Catskills to the Alleghenies.  It is the smallest of the Teacher Center Networks but very strong as a unit that works together to further the efforts of our constituents in the Southern Tier. Nine individual Teacher Centers are included in the STTCN

The Southern Tier works with our community and higher education partners to help us achieve the goals of our work. Within our region we have several BOCES partners, including Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES, Delaware-Chenango-Madison-Madison-Otsego BOCES, Broome-Tioga BOCES, Onondaga-Madison BOCES, TST BOCES, and the Greater Southern Tier BOCES.  Regional institutions of higher education include:  SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Cortland, SUNY Oneonta, Ithaca College, Cornell University, Elmira College, Broome Community College, Hartwick College, Corning Community College, and Tompkins-Cortland Community College.  STTCN also has partnerships with business, STEM Councils, museums, and various other cultural organizations.

The STTCN supports our National Board candidates through our writing institutes and supported Saturday work time.

As a network, the STTCN provides professional learning opportunities to any teacher within the network's geographic region. Teachers may register for these programs using Frontline Education.
