My name is Catharina, but you can call me Cate. I am an enthusiastic researcher, educator, and writer with a voracious appetite for books and knowledge. Growing up, I wanted to be a librarian, and while things didn't work out that way, I was able to channel my love of words into writing. Some of my favourite topics to read and write about include philosophy, personal development, history, mythology, anthropology, and literature, but I have also written about engineering and technology, health and fitness, psychology, biography, epistolary, and esotericism.

My work experience includes developing and teaching various university-level philosophy and academic literacy courses, working as a research assistant, ghostwriting, editing, art curation, and freelancing for media publications. In my free time, I enjoy taking on portraiture commissions, hiking, doing yoga, and cuddling with my dog. And of course, reading—because it all begins and ends with books.
