I am a qualified Home Economics and Biology teacher from St. Angela’s College, and my love of educating, nutrition, science and psychology has translated into health and fitness.
I have been passionate about nutrition ever since my first Home Economics class in secondary school and took every opportunity to opt into modules whilst studying my degree and masters whether it was sports nutrition, food science, dietary diseases completing my thesis on the factors that influence the food literacy and dietary behaviours of secondary school students.
Although they say knowledge is power, I would have to argue that relying on knowledge alone is not enough to achieve your goals.
To truly transform your health and fitness, consistent action is key. This means committing to your goals, holding yourself accountable, and for me, the seeking support from someone who had walked my path was the game changer.
Having experienced the power of a coach first hand, I became a certified nutrition and lifestyle coach, accredited by the Institutes of Health Science and have since completed numerous courses in various areas including body image, relationship with food and eating psychology. I am also a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer, gaining my certifications from Image Fitness.
I also just love to exercise and all the benefits it brings as hard as it can be to get going sometimes. I spent years in the cardio section of the gym, fearing resistance training due to lack of knowledge and confidence and using the treadmill to unsuccessfully out exercise disordered eating patterns.
Lifting weights has not only changed my body composition but my body but also my mind. The strength I've gained in the gym has translated into unwavering self-belief and confidence in all areas of my life.
I'm dedicated to helping others tap into their inner power, stepping out of their comfort zone and achieving their fitness goals.
I’m constantly trying to further my knowledge of the body and mind, completing courses in yoga, breath work, gut health and studying counselling and psychotherapy as I write this as I believe the holistic approach is key to longevity.
Having tried almost every diet possible from the age of sixteen and making what felt like every mistake in the book due to listening to misinformation, I have experienced the frustration around not seeing results and that feeling of helplessness.
My ultimate aim is to prevent you from making all the mistakes that I made and be the catalyst for change in your life. I've developed a proven approach to help you achieve lasting results. I'm confident in my ability to provide expert guidance and support, drawing on my personal experiences and the knowledge gained from being both a coaching client of and working alongside some of the leading coaches in the industry.
