Use the scholarship search sites listed below to help you in your search for available scholarships. Be aware that most of your financial aid will come from the school you attend. Make sure you establish contact early on with your post-secondary school’s Financial Aid office!

Georgia Energy and Industrial Construction Consortium
A minimum of five $1,000 scholarships are available to be awarded for students interested in S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

Metro Atlanta Relocation Council
The Metro Atlanta Relocation Council (MARC) is proud to announce their eleventh annual MARC Scholarship Program for current high school seniors who have relocated into the Atlanta area over the course of their high school career.
The student must have relocated more than 50 miles sometime between grades 9 (after completion of 8th grade) and 12 and changed schools due to their family's relocation. Residence eligibility is defined as a senior attending a private or public school in any city or county district within the 15-County Greater Atlanta area. The applicant must also have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent achievement on a different scale).
Students will be evaluated on academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and on their response to an essay addressing the way they handled the challenges associated with relocating to a new area and a new high school.
A one-time award of $1,000 will be sent directly to the college that the winning applicant will be attending to assist with tuition, etc.). Completed Applications (which must include the essay, application, and transcripts from the counselor's office) must be received no later than 5:00 pm on March 3, 2021, (no exceptions please). The winner will be notified of the award and may be invited to participate in a virtual presentation of the scholarship. Please see the attached instructions for more information!
Cartersville Medical Center Scholarship Opportunity
Cartersville Medical Center is offering a $1,000 renewable scholarship for four years (total of $4,000). Information on eligibility and how to apply can be picked up from your school counselor.

Lockheed Martin Vocational Scholarship Program
Awarding over 100 scholarships of $6,600 each for students pursuing associate degrees and vocational-technical certifications in specified fields of study.

Shaw Associate Dependent Scholarship Program
This scholarship program offers scholarships to qualified Shaw associate dependents who are currently high school seniors set to graduate with a high school diploma in 2021 and enroll in full-time classes at an accredited institution in summer or fall 2021.

University of North Georgia Military Scholarships
The state of Georgia offers 42 fully funded scholarships per year to Georgia high school seniors who attend the University of North Georgia and commission as officers in the Georgia Army National Guard after graduating with bachelor's degrees. Norwich Scholarships
Take the Lead Scholarship
Any student who completes their application and FAFSA to Norwich University by December 15th will earn $2,000. This scholarship is renewable for four years.
High School Service Award
This award is $5,000 and is renewable for four years. In order to receive this scholarship, a student must be nominated by the school and have demonstrated an exceptional record of service to their school and community.
JROTC Leadership Award
This award has three levels of $2,000, $3,000, and $4,000. Each JROTC unit can nominate up to three students who have demonstrated exceptional performance in the unit and leadership potential for the JROTC Leadership Award.
Alice and Bobby Dodd Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to assist a Georgia high school senior who has an outstanding record of community service in pursuing their education objectives. Academics and financial need are important and will be reviewed, but the overriding criteria will be the applicant’s community service involvement. Applications are in the Career Center.
AED Superstore College Scholarship
AED Superstore is a nationwide distributor of automated external defibrillators and related accessories dedicated to increasing awareness and education around CPR and AEDs. AED Superstore is located in northern Wisconsin and operates under Allied 100, LLC. AED Superstore is offering a bi-annual scholarship of $1,000 to eligible students. Horatio Alger Scholarship
Since 1984, Horatio Alger Association Members and Friends have been funding need-based college scholarships to support deserving young people overcome their adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education. So far the Association has awarded more than $125 million to approximately 20,000 students.

AXA Achievement Scholarship
The AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Scholarship winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities: ambition and drive; determination to set and reach goals; respect for self, family and community; ability to succeed in college. The Jimmy Baker Scholarship
Students who attended Hamilton Crossing Elementary School qualify for this scholarship.
Phyllis D. Benham Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship honors Ms. Benham, who was a Bartow County educator. Students applying must attend either Columbus State University or Albany State University. The application is available in the Career Center.
Burger King Foundation Scholarship
The BURGER KING℠ Scholars program assists high school seniors in the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada in continuing their education. To date, the program has awarded more than $32 million in scholarships to more than 30,000 students. Last year alone, $3.5 million in scholarships were awarded to more than 3,200 deserving students.

The Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes students for their community service, academic performance and leadership skills. This year, scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to over 800 students nationwide.

B. Davis Scholarship
This $1,000 scholarship is available to all high school juniors and seniors.
To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay of less than 1000 words on the following topic; Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most. 2020 Dreams to Kings and Queens Scholarship Giveaway
One male and one female student will be chosen as scholarship recipients to receive $1,000. Students must be seniors who are college-bound in the state of Georgia. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required, as well as a 2-page essay. Students must submit a high school transcript and college acceptance letter with the essay. Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The 2018 Most Valuable Student scholarship contest is open to any high school senior who is a US Citizen. Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications for the 2019 contest will be available online starting August 15, 2019. The 2019 MVS
The 20 top finalists will participate in an all-expense paid Leadership Weekend in Chicago during which they’ll interview with the national judges. These 20 finalists will be vying for two first-place awards of $50,000; two second-place awards of $40,000; and two third-place awards of $30,000. The remaining 14 finalists will receive awards of $20,000. The 480 runners-up will receive fifth-place scholarships of $4,000.

The Etowah Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to traditional, non-traditional and home-schooled students on an annual basis. Scholarship applications are available in January of each year.

Family Savings Credit Union Scholarship
Family Savings Credit Union is offering the C.V. Glassco Memorial Scholarship to a graduating high school senior. This scholarship is based heavily on volunteering and participation in community service, not having the highest GPA. Georgia Mining Scholarship
The Georgia Mining Foundation membership is again offering our scholarship program in Georgia High Schools. High school seniors may be eligible for one of our $500 scholarships. The mining industry in Georgia is a $1.6 billion industry which is dedicated to the support of better education. The Scholarship Program is just one way the industry shows its community support.
This year they will award over 35 scholarships of $500 each to be distributed in various counties throughout Georgia. Applications are available in the Career Center Scholarship File.
Georgia Mining Technical Scholarship
The Georgia Mining Foundation membership would like to announce that they are again offering our technical college scholarship program to Georgia Technical Colleges. Students may be eligible for one of our $350 scholarships. The mining industry in Georgia is a $1.6 billion industry which is dedicated to the support of better education. GA State is currently recruiting and accepting applications for their Goizueta Scholarship. The benefits of the scholarship include:

Crystal Green Memorial Scholarship
Blood Assurance is offering 10 $1,500 scholarships. Scholarship applicants will be judged on a written application, high school transcript, school and community service, letters of recommendation and a marketing plan for a blood drive. Students must attend a “Project Lifesaver” high school in one of the five states served by Blood Assurance, which include Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and Virginia. Steven James Memorial Scholarship
Steven was a 2017 WHS Graduate who completed the Welding Pathway at the BCCCA, and was working at Gerdau Ameristeel as a welder. Sadly, Steven lost his life in a car accident in November.
This scholarship is for seniors planning to pursue a degree/certificate in welding and metal working.
Julian and Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship
The Community Bankers Association of Georgia (CBA) is pleased to announce the 2018 Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship. The goal of this scholarship is to assist deserving high school seniors in their first year of college and to promote community banking. To compete, students must be sponsored by a local community bank, must complete an activity record expressing their leadership activity in school, write a short essay on community banking, provide teacher recommendations and an official high school transcript. Our local bank is Century Bank of Georgia.
The Julian & Jan Hester Memorial Scholarship is open to Georgia high school seniors who will be entering a Georgia college, university or technical college(two-year program or more) in the fall semester of 2018. Awards are based on academic merit and not financial need.
The applications must be submitted to the Community Bankers Association of Georgia through a CBA member bank. You must then contact the bank and ask for sponsorship.
Joy L. Hill-Watson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is in memory of Joy L. Hill-Watson. The scholarship is based on need, merit, and involvement in school/community arts program and/or community service. The application is available in the Career Center.
MLK Committee of Bartow County
MLK, Jr. Celebration Committee of Bartow County is sponsoring a scholarship. You’ll need an essay about your educational goals, financial need, and a recommendation. The application is available in the Career Center.
JFK Profile in Courage Essay Contest
The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas.
In Profiles in Courage, John F. Kennedy recounted the stories of eight U.S. senators who risked their careers to do what was right for the nation. These leaders demonstrated political courage by taking a stand for the public good in spite of pressure by interest groups, their political party, or even their constituents. The Profile in Courage Essay Contest challenges students to write an original and creative essay that demonstrates an understanding of political courage as described by John F. Kennedy in Profiles in Courage.
The maximum word count is 1,000 with a minimum of 700, not including citations and bibliography. Use at least five varied sources such as government documents, letters, newspaper articles, books, and/or personal interviews.

Les Savants Club Scholarship
The Les Savants Club will be awarding scholarships to graduation high school seniors in Bartow County. The scholarship will be awarded based on the quality of the student's overall high school performance. Selection of recipients will focus on academic performance, statement of goals, extracurricular activities, leadership experience, and community involvement. A completed application of personal and financial information is requested. An official transcript and counselor verification from the school must accompany the application.
Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship
The RMHC Scholarship Program seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their communities and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. There are four different scholarships.

Ronald Reagan Foundation Scholarship
Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
JRF Scholars receive up to $30,000 over four years to complement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. David Skinner/GDA Scholarship
It is a scholarships in the amount of $1,500.00 will be awarded annually to students enrolled in the study of Agriculture or an Agriculture related field.
The applicant must be a high school senior, must have successfully passed their high school academic requirements, and have college entrance exam scores qualifying their admission to an accredited Georgia College.

The Thurgood Marshall Fund provides scholarships, programmatic and capacity building support to the 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
The UNCF awards 10,000 students each year through 400 scholarship and internship programs so that students from low- and moderate-income families can afford college tuition, books and room and board.
