Lightkeeper is a 2D Puzzle game in which you need to place different kind of bridges to get the lightkeeper and ship to the lighthouse. Once the lightkeeper reaches the lighthouse, a ship will start sailing toward the lighthouse, so you have to make sure the bridges do not block the way of the ship!
The idea for Lightkeeper came to me while I was sketching in my dummy. I sketched a few islands and bridges on paper and tried to think of a puzzle mechanic that would make sense with what I sketched. Eventually I came up with the idea to have a character on land and a ship in the water that both need to reach the end of a level after the bridges are placed. With the idea being that some bridges would break after the character on land walked over them and some bridges that would remain, which the ship then could not go through.

At one point played around with the idea of having the player place bridges freely with the only restriction being that both ends of the bridge need to be on land. This turned out to be a bit too confusing for the player, because it caused the gameplay to resolve around finding where it was possible to place bridges in the first place. So I decided to go back to limiting the places where bridges can be placed in order to make the game more legible.
