This section is going to be focusing on rural and urban differences in living during the early 20th century.
Rural areas did not have significant changes but image the cities and urban areas, now we have factories and other big changes that impact their everyday life.
We are going to identify the differences within homes, communications, transportation, work, health care, education and art and leisure.

How can we make this fun?
Some of my favourite activities are through visual senses!
- Ideas that can be done visually...
- Photo essays - you could bring up a picture of both a rural and urban setting for each of the categories (homes, communications, etc.,) and have your student write down what they see and think is happening when they look at each one.
- Create a slide show - this can be a slide per image and then you can have each category separated and easy to follow and identify!
- Create a TikTok or short clip with comparing each of the categories - this will put them into a mindset to take on the role of the person in this environment
