A good place to start is to know that Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. This will be good prior knowledge to use.
Using your knowledge of the provinces and territories, try to figure out what might be resources that could come from the different regions.
Referring to textbook pages 202-206 also gives lots of hints.
An activity you can do to keep this information fresh in your mind is to take an outline map of Canada and then create your own map with symbols to represent what resource is where!
This is a great map to have for this unit to reflect back on through the lessons.
Another activity you can do is to find an image that has a different resource on it and use them as flip cards!
Print them out (or if you don't have a printer draw the symbol on one side) and on the back side write down the region/province that this resource was from.
This can be used as flash cards - someone can quiz you with them and they are good practice for remembering!
A fun activity you can also do is to make a short video, pretending to be from each region and dress up/act like the resources that are there. This will get you outside, moving around and I'm certian, will be a memorable way to connect the resources with the regions!
