CAROLINA is composed of two units: Research Institute on Terrestrial Ecosystems of National Research Council of Italy (IRET-CNR) and Department of Biology of the University of Florence, Italy (UNIFI). The scientific competencies cover different aspects of terrestrial ecosystems ecology, from plant science to soil science, from leaf and metabolite scale measurements to remote sensing assessments
