Over the years, we hope you have witnessed the Association in action - we have tackled substantive issues to protect and preserve Carol Beach. If you are new to Carol Beach, Welcome! We are a unique community in Pleasant Prairie. We treasure our differences, yet we are a part of the broader Pleasant Prairie community. Yes we are growing; but we also relish our “beachy” rural perspective. We hope you do too!
Here are a few sample projects we have successfully undertaken:
We preserved the Public Access at 86th street when a developer wanted to build;
We stopped development of a built up lakefront around the beach at 108th street;
We lobbied the Village to fix the road at 90th Street (LSD to 7th Ave), and now
We are working with the Village on storm water management in the north end of Carol Beach.
The Association will continue its efforts to preserve our uniqueness as its primary goal. Social events and education are important, but advocacy has taken central stage since I have been your president. I expect it to remain so under my watch.
