W•e s•h•o•u•l•d be cautious in our seemingly “safe” square tucked away from the mainstream. Carlyn Square will remain an oasis if we are prudent in our movements and observations.
SAFETY
Please be alert and cautious when driving through the neighborhood. Observe the posted 15 m.p.h. speed limit. The consequences of children darting into the thoroughfare from between parked cars can be devastating. The lowered curbs for the handicapped at our entrance present easy access to the driveway for children on bikes, tricycles, skateboards, and roller skates. Parents, please instruct your children about the potential dangers of the square.
SECURITY
Carlyn Square is easily accessible to strangers because of its location between major roads and proximity to the Glen Forest Elementary School. We can keep our neighborhood safe in several ways:
Light your front and rear entrances at night.
Lock your doors, including your car's.
Learn to recognize your neighbors.
Look for anyone or anything out of order and report it. Note the license plate any strange vehicle in the area.
