E∙a∙c∙h townhouse in our square has two numbered parking spaces. They are reserved for residents only. You and your guests should not park in a neighbor’s space unless you get permission.
⚠️ Parking in fire lanes is prohibited:
Along the yellow curbs at the entrance to the parking lot.
Around the pavilion circle at the other end of the lot.
A fire truck must have wide access to enter and drive around without obstruction.
Residents are encouraged to cooperate with each other for special occasions requiring additional parking.
Don't let your car hang over the curb. Engine heat kills the grass and blocks mowing access.

Vehicle Restrictions
Residents may not use an assigned parking space to park vehicles larger than a pickup truck. This includes, but is not limited to, recreational vehicles, boats, trailers, campers, buses, commercial trucks, vans, etc., that are larger by weight, length, or width than a pickup or panel truck. Parking spaces are also off limits to vehicles displaying a commercial sign and to disabled, unregistered, and junk vehicles.
Auto Repair
Changing tires and adding fluids are permitted in Carlyn Square, but major auto repair or maintenance is prohibited. This includes brake or engine overhaul, transmission work, or changing differential fluids. Please have fluid leaks repaired to prevent parking lot damage.
Towing Enforcement
Illegally parked vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. If you cannot get neighborly cooperation in having such an auto moved, contact a Carlyn Square Board member, who will call Advanced Towing.
According to Fairfax County:
The towing charge may be up to $125 for most vehicles plus extra fees for night, weekend, and holiday towing.
No towing fee may be charged if the trespassing vehicle is removed before it is connected to the tow truck.
If the owner of the trespassing vehicle arrives after it is immobilized, but before it is removed, up to $75 may be charged and the owner must remove the vehicle.
Storage fees of up to $50 per 24-hour period accrue after the first 24 hours.
Once you notify the towing company that you want your car, it must release the vehicle within two hours.
