The CBC board is comprised of four elected officers and up to three trustees.
All board members serve a one-year term running from July 1st to June 30th, which coincides with the school's fiscal year.
Elections are held each April for the elected officers (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary).
Trustees are appointed by the CBC officers.
Elected officers must have at least one active student attending John Paul II High School.
Trustees must have at least one child who graduated from John Paul II High School.
No prior CBC experience is required to serve as a board member.
Collaborates with other board members and school administration to define annual priorities and influence the strategic direction of the organization.
Leads membership meetings as well as executive sessions.
Can authorize small (up to $250) funding disbursements without vote.
Leads membership meetings in the absence of the president.
Leads special projects as defined by the board.
Collaborates closely with CBC Reps, Coaches and the school business office to authorize funding disbursement
Ensures JPII and CBC policies are adhered to with respond to receipt and disbursement of funds.
Ensures that clubs have sufficient funds prior to authorizing payment or reimbursement.
If our CBC representatives are the life blood of the organization, the CBC treasurer is its heart.
Communicates with members/reps about upcoming meetings
Records minutes at all official meetings
Share minutes with membership
Provide useful guidance to CBC board members and club representatives relying on their experience in the Cardinal community.
Supports CBC activities through volunteerism
