During mt first year as a student in Science Research, I started off the year exploring radiology. More specifically, how it helps us gain a deeper understanding of what is going inside our body. Radiology uses different imaging techniques and methods to further determine what is going on inside someones body without opening someone up are performing surgery. As the year continued I started to transition into research cancer, more specifically how different therapies effect tumor progression. As I looked for and found my mentor she helped guide my project into looking at CD4 T cells, cyclophosphamide, and FK506 which are all different therapies used to help treat cancer. Based on these three therapies I compared the effectiveness of each therapy in eradicating cancer. I then put together this proposed study and presented it at the Somers Science Fair where I won second place in the Medicine and Health category.
