Welcome to Draw with Dal!
Draw with Dal is a literacy and illustration initiative created by Cynthia's Book Club Publishing Group (CBCPG). Through this program, elementary school students have the opportunity to illustrate scenes from The Little Moon Rabbit of Busan and become officially published illustrators in a children's book.
Whether you're a teacher, librarian, homeschool educator, or parent, we invite you to inspire the next generation of storytellers and artists.
🎨 Every drawing tells a story. Every child deserves to see their imagination in print.
More than an art contest, Draw with Dal encourages children to read, imagine, create, and discover the confidence that comes from seeing their ideas valued and celebrated.
At Cynthia's Book Club Publishing Group (CBCPG), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover the magic of books and the confidence that comes from creative expression.
Our mission is to inspire elementary school students through reading, storytelling, and illustration while encouraging imagination, artistic exploration, and cultural appreciation.
By connecting literature with visual art, we strive to help young readers become active participants in the creative process—not just by reading stories, but by helping bring them to life. Through this unique experience, students gain confidence, celebrate their creativity, and discover that their ideas have the power to inspire others.
Every child has a unique imagination waiting to be discovered.
In today's digital world, opportunities for children to slow down, read, draw, and express themselves creatively are more important than ever. Draw with Dal was created to encourage students to put pencil to paper, explore the joy of storytelling, and experience the excitement of contributing to a professionally published children's book.
Our goal is not simply to choose winning illustrations. It is to inspire a lifelong love of reading, nurture creativity, and remind every child that their imagination matters.
Whether a student's artwork is selected for publication or not, every participant becomes part of a program that celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the courage to share their ideas with the world.
Dal, one of the youngest of eight rabbit siblings, has always dreamed of adventure. After a magical transformation into a mermaid, she begins exploring the beautiful waters surrounding Busan, South Korea.
Now, children everywhere have the opportunity to help illustrate Dal's newest adventure.
