Kim Hye-Soo is a children's author and artist whose stories are inspired by the beauty of nature, the warmth of family, and the traditions of her hometown of Busan, South Korea.
From an early age, Kim Hye-Soo found joy in sketching, writing poetry, and creating stories that celebrated kindness, courage, and imagination. She believed that every child should grow up with books that encourage curiosity, compassion, and the confidence to dream beyond the horizon.
Her debut picture book, The Little Moon Rabbit of Busan, invites young readers on a magical adventure beneath the sea while gently reminding them that no matter how far life takes us, the love of family will always guide us home.
When she isn't writing, Kim Hye-Soo enjoys sewing traditional hanbok, painting watercolor illustrations inspired by Korea's natural beauty, and spending quiet afternoons near the sea, where many of her stories first begin.
She hopes her books inspire children everywhere to dream big, explore the world with wonder, and always remember that home is where love lives.
