Welcome back to a new school year! I hope your children are excited about returning to music. My name is Becky Denman and this is my ninth year teaching music. This is my fifth year teaching music at Captain Gray. Before that, I taught at Emerson Elementary for four years. This year, we will be learning to sing new music, read music, and play music on a variety of instruments. We have 5th/6th grade Choir available during lunch recess time. They will perform at every assembly and the end of the year concert. Each grade level will perform their own assembly throughout the year and you are more than welcome to attend these performances. 5th and 6th Grade students have the opportunity to join band or strings for the year with two concerts: winter and spring. I will be in contact with you about our performances throughout the year. I look forward to sharing my passion for music with you and your student(s)!
