CSID is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to educate, support, and connect interpreters, interpreting students and the Deaf community in the West Texas region.

CSID partners with the Deaf community and other local organizations to host events, fundraise, spread awareness, and educate.
CSID partnered with 512 Terps and TTU ASL and Interpreting to host a workshop presented by Deaf Blind Community of Texas (DBCTX)

CSID members mentoring Texas Tech interpreting students to help them gain experience interpreting theater performances with Lubbock Community Theater
"Beauty and the Beast" December 2023
Texas Tech University has approved a scholarship to aid interpreter training students in honor of a dearly missed CSID board member and local interpreter. CSID has helped raise almost $1K through workshops for this scholarship!
CSID is partnering with Milestones Play Village to offer ASL classes with Deaf instructors to the community!
ASL Classes began in Summer 2025 and are ongoing since!
