To serve on the board an individual must be a Caprock Society of Interpreters for the Deaf member in good standing and active in the Deaf community. Officers are volunteers willing to serve on the board for the benefit of the organization.

Board members are elected by CSID members through a nominations and voting process. Each position serves for two years. On odd years the positions elected are: Vice President, Treasurer, Events Coordinator, and Deaf Community Representative. On even years the positions elected are: President, Secretary, PR, and Member-at-Large. Student Representative is a yearly selected position.
