Curriculum Night Recap
Thank you so much to everyone who came out for Curriculum Night! It was wonderful to see you and share all the exciting things we'll be learning this year. We really appreciate you taking the time to join us.
If you weren't able to make it, we're sorry we missed you!
Below is a copy of the presentation we shared!
Volunteer Opportunities
All parents interested in volunteering at any time during the year must first complete a yearly volunteer application with CPS (Level II) and then bring a current ID to the school to be copied. We are hoping to attend at least 2 field trips this school year, and volunteers must be approved before being considered.
Electronics Policy
Before a child is allowed to have any electronics at school, this Canty Student Wireless Device Agreement must be completed. While students are in the building, during, before or after school hours, all electronics are ONLY allowed to be in the students’ backpacks and must be turned off. Electronics are not allowed to be taken out of students’ backpacks or turned on until the students have left the building. If a student does not abide by these rules the following consequences taken from Chicago Public School’s Student Rights and Responsibilities, code 2-12 will be strictly enforced.
Sick Student Protocol
Students registering temperatures of 100.4 degrees or higher or exhibiting any symptoms of sickness (see below) anytime during the day will wait in a supervised area until a staff member contacts a parent/guardian to pick them up immediately. Students exhibiting one or more of these symptoms (which may be signs of a communicable condition) will be medically excluded from school. If medically excluded, parent/guardian must obtain written documentation from the Medical Provider indicating that the child has been evaluated and indicate when the child is medically cleared to return to school.
Students exhibiting the symptoms below should NOT come to school and will be sent home immediately if any of these symptoms are observed. Please stay home if you or your student are not feeling well or if your student fails the Daily Health Screener.
