Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Canty’s arrival/dismissal procedures minimize, as much as possible, congregation and intermingling of staff and students. Canty is implementing the following strategies: multiple entrances, staggered start times, and escorting students directly to classrooms by teachers.

All 3rd grade Homerooms will now line up at Door 2 (on Panama...the gym doors) from 7:50-8:00am.  Studetns will enter the gym to line up indoors.  We ill pick them up from the gym at 8:00 to bring them to class.

Line Up Guidelines for Arrival: 

1. Please do not drop your child off prior to 7:50 am.    

2. Students should “gather”  near the steps by door 2 within the time window scheduled of 7:50-8:00am.  Staff will be there to help them enter the gym to line up.

3. Teachers will meet the students in the gym and escort students to the classroom. 

4. Students who arrive late to school must go to door 1 and maintain a three foot distance.  Students will have a tardy processed in Aspen and will join their classroom.

Guidelines for departure: 

1. All 3rd grade homerooms will depart the same door we entered.  We will exit Door 2 on Panama at 3:00 pm.

2. There is no loitering after school: students should go immediately home.

3. If your child is not picked up, the child will be escorted to door 1 (the main entrance) for pickup.
