This year, the third grade teachers are using a classroom management system we call:  🐾"Paws"itive Behavior🐾.  

Why do we focus on positive behavior?  When we praise and compliment a student's action, it helps them to develop a growth mindset.  We are not praising the student, but rather the effort they displayed for any given task!

The students will have the opportunity to earn tickets from each of us throughout the day.  They can earn tickets for positive behaviors such as being on task, participating in class, completing homework assignments, and so on!  Students will not "lose" or be asked to give back tickets, and will be able to "cash in" their tickets for prizes.  

Students will be provided a bag to store their tickets in , and will be directed to write their name on the ticket when they receive it!  You can help in supporting this by asking your child each evening if they received any tickets that day!
