Join us for a two-day cemetery-focused series of events on Saturday and Sunday, October 19th and 20th, 2024, sure to spark your Halloween spirit!
Saturday: Attend a free lecture on the history of “Landscapes of the Dead.” Dr. Haak will guide you through the evolution of human-made spaces for the deceased, culminating in the American Rural Cemetery Tradition.
Sunday: Participate in a hands-on workshop led by Dr. Haak on the care and restoration of historic tombstones. Supplies will be provided.
Registration Details:
Saturday Lecture: Registration is not required but appreciated for communication purposes.
Sunday Workshop: Registration is necessary due to limited supplies.
Registering for one or both events will also enable Dr. Haak to email you with updates and news.

Donations: These events are free; however, donations are greatly appreciated and can be made in person or through Venmo: @Candis-Haak. Unless otherwise expressed, donations made on Saturday will support the maintenance of the Page Memorial Chapel at Riverside Cemetery, and donations made on Sunday will benefit the Town of Oswego Historical Society.
