13-15 October               National Endangered Skills & Trades Show (NEST) - Kingston 

NEST aims to raise awareness about traditional trades.  It comes at a time when many trades are at risk of dying out.   Members of The Canberra Lacemakers attend the show to demonstrate and answer questions about lacemaking.

We hosted a raffle which was well supported by the public, with over 100 tickets sold.  The raffle was drawn by Committee members at the conclusion of NEST.  Results were as follows:  

1st prize: V&A Museum Book of Lace and a hand-made lace bookmark:  Loretta (c29)

2nd prize: A tea cup and saucer on a tatted mat:  Michelle (c49)

3rd prize:  A hand made lace collar and a ceramic rose: Jorjs (c13)

All winners have been contacted and their prizes hand delivered.
