Position Description: If you are interested in the Veterinary field, but you don't have much clinic experience or the educational background, this would be a great foot in the door! The primary job of the Veterinary Assistant is to help our technicians either behind the scenes or with our technician appointments. You would gain more experience in animal behavior and assist with any sort of blood-draw, nail trim, anal sac expression and more.
This position would also require cleaning, tending to animals that are in our care, getting vitals on hospitalized patients and keeping up with day to day maintenance. (Maintenance just refers to the chores that keep the clinic operating.) This would include laundry, dishes, cleaning rooms in between appointments and helping the technicians with their tasks at hand. This entry position offers a lot of hands on experience and with the right mindset, much can be learned. If you love animals and want to further your career in the veterinary field, this position is for you!
Experience: Certified Veterinary Technician preferably with 2+ years clinic experience. Not required if recently graduated.
Starting Wage: Based on experience
Availability: 30-35 hours/week
Position Description: Here at Cañada Hills, our technicians do it all! We are looking for someone who is team oriented with an upbeat and positive attitude. If you have prior clinic experience, then you understand this job requires a lot of patience and mental fortitude. As a C.V.T, we would really like someone who is reliable, compassionate and adds to our uplifting environment.
Our technicians have many titles. They serve as our patients bed nurse, pharmacist, lab technician, x-ray technician, anesthesiologist, mortician, janitor, mediator, and a lover of all pets. We respect and value all of our technicians for all that they do. We would like someone committed to serving animals no matter how long or difficult the day may be. As a team, we are here for each other day in and day out. We hope to have our little family grow and to help you grow in your career as well.
Experience: 2+ years reception experience. Veterinary reception experience preferred.
Starting Wage: Based on experience
Availability: 20-30 hours/week
Position Description: We like to see our receptionist as the 'Gate Keeper' of everything coming in and going out. Because we are a smaller clinic, our community comes to us for consistency in how we treat all of our clients with kindness and respect. Some clients have been with Dr. Bolser for 20+ years and have built a strong relationship with her and this clinic. We hold ourselves to high standards and treat our clients pets as if they were our own.
We are looking for someone who is personable, compassionate and a team-player with a background in the medical field. The saying "read the room" can be applied to each conversation, and understanding how to read the situation is necessary in finding the best way to approach it. This position requires you to be detail oriented, patient, articulate with great customer service. Must have the ability to prioritize tasks, labs, phone calls etc. according to level of urgency and be able to maintain the flow of the clinic. If you are still fairly new to being a receptionist, this would be a great way to help build your confidence in communication and improve your time management skills.
Don't let the desk fool you, this job does require someone who is light on their feet. Though the main head quarters is up front, you will find yourself going back and forth between the technicians and doctor to keep up with communication. This clinic operates as a team, and much like any of the other positions, communication is key.
This position is part-time to full-time.
Experience: 3+ years Veterinary managing experience.
Starting Wage: Salary
Availability: 30-35 hours/week
Position Description: Being a single-doctor private practice comes with it's own challenges. Though Dr. Mary Ann Bolser is fantastic at what she does, she would appreciate having some of that weight taken from her plate so that she may primarily focus on her patients. For this reason, we are looking to hire an Office Manager that would help her oversee everything from finances to team building. For this position, we would need someone who is passionate and driven about the veterinary field. This clinic is easy to fall in love with and we already have an amazing team of hard working young women. It would be great to have someone we could rely on and help oversee everything behind the scenes. This position will come with it's own challenges, the outcome will be so rewarding. So to have an Office Manager that is driven, passionate, and hardworking would help push this clinic that much further in the right direction.
This job does require some knowledge of the veterinary medical field. We need help staying on top of protocols and regulations along with supervising our staff to ensure things are running as they should be. Our clinic sets the bar up high and we'd like for someone to help us uphold that.
