Andrew

How I picture Andrew when he charged at Adam! Source

WEEK TWO

MONDAY

Dear Diary,

The weekend was good! I got to call Daddy and tell him what happened with the flood…he told me about a time something very similar happened to him, so he wasn’t too mad! That was a major relief. Today we went swimming in the lake; well, we were supposed to be canoeing-turns out I’m not great at that! I guess the water just calls to me! Today there was also a little drama because remember how I told you the newcomers need to watch out for Andrew, considering his dad is Ares? Yeah, well one of them clearly doesn’t do too well with instructions. Andrew’s victim's name is Adam. Poor fella…you see everyone knows the evil Alexa and Andrew are like…together. Well, everyone knew except Adam it seems because he decided to start flirting with Alexa at lunch today! (Granted Adam is new and nobody is sure who his parents are) Alexa being Alexa, she decided to flirt back and one thing led to another and Andrew caught them making out behind a tree! ANDREW LOST HIS ISH. He charged at Adam like a boar! He was throwing things and yelling and he freaking punched Adam square in the jaw! I mean it made one of those sounds from the movies it was such a hard hit. Alexa as expected just shrugged her shoulders and left Adam to fend for himself. Long story short Adam is at the doctor right now and his parents are on their way to pick him up. Something tells me I won’t see him again. Since I am camp leader I am in charge of making sure he was okay and now I get to sit in on Andrew's punishment hearing tomorrow. I love my life!!!! I will of course update you tomorrow!

TUESDAY

Dear Diary,

TODAY WAS THE DAY! I sat down in the room with all of the head counselors and Andrew. Of course Andrew's dad Ares was on a conference call with us all. Not surprisingly, his dad was all for him hitting Adam, heck he was congratulating him! So clearly he wasn’t very helpful. Andrew just had a smug grin the entire time and Alexa was there since she was technically involved. You should have seen how happy she was that 2 boys were fighting over her! She is unbelievable!! Andrew ended up getting 3 activities taken away AND he has to write up an apology letter AND dish duty! I got off so easy with my punishment last week! Ugh, one of the campers is homesick. That’s my cue to go! Talk to you later!

Love,

Penny

THURSDAY

Dear Diary,

Yesterday Adam said goodbye to all of us and gosh, he did not look good! I gave him my mailing address if he needed anything though I doubt he will use it. Andrew is in an even worse mood after he had to skip the staged food fight today. It’s his favorite activity since he is allowed to throw things at people. Serves him right! Alexa is just as guilty as she technically cheated on him, but she got no punishment! It’s so annoying!

Love,

Penny

FRIDAY

Dear Diary,

Not much to update on! I will talk to you Monday!

Love,

Penny

Author's Note:

I chose this story, as I knew I wanted to include Andrew getting in a fight as he represents Ares. I think that getting into fights is very typical for angry teenage boys. I also loved how this story included Aphrodite, or Alexa in these stories, as last week we got a glimpse of who Alexa really is and how she is boy-crazy! To set the scene- Ares is the God of war while Aphrodite is the Goddess of love. Ares and Aphrodite were married and she had an affair with Adonis! Adonis is not a god, simply loved by Aphrodite! This story is originally way more gruesome than the way I wrote it as Ares finds out Aphrodite is having an affair with Adonis. Ares gets so angry he turns into a boar and charges Adonis and kills him! Clearly I do not think that would happen at a teenage summer camp. I am glad I made it so that we would never hear from Adam, or Adonis, again while still being able to keep him alive and well! I really enjoyed writing the diary entries laid back last week and so I chose to do the same this week. This week I also tried to make it more clear who the new characters were, or in this case really who Andrew represented. The next story will include even more gods than this one!
