The 6-a-side Tournament

The tournament is organised on a league basis and all teams will have games on both Saturday and Sunday.  
Teams will play for Men’s, Mixed and Women’s divisions are offered (NVL/ Regional, County and Local/Social levels), although the organisers may re-allocate teams into different leagues based on available spaces.  
Teams that don't meet the minimum requirement of 3 female players can enter the Men's league, which offers 2 divisions.
Teams will play in drawn pools on Saturday.  The organisers may combine different division pools on Saturday based on tournament entries.
Teams will be re-pooled on Sunday based on finishing position from Saturday.  The final order of these pools will determine overall division position.  Teams will be involved in either pool play or positional matches for the division prize on Sunday.
Prizes will be awarded to all division winners.
o   Mixed teams must have three women on court at all times. Teams with missing players should recruit a full 6 from the spares pool well in advance to prevent any match delays.
  • There is no rule that allows boys to be counted as women in Mixed division.
  • In Women’s Divisions, only females may play. 
  • Females are permitted to play in the Men’s competition.
  • Each team can have as many spare players as needed to ensure enough players for every match over the weekend.

o   All matches are played to FIVB rules and will be the best of three sets (unless otherwise stated in scoresheet), first two to 25 and the decider to 15 (capped to 25 and 17 respectively).  
o   League points will be allocated to the winning team. 
o   Results of Saturday’s pool play and details of the Sunday pools will be available when teams register on Sunday morning.
o  Teams will be responsible for refereeing matches within their division during the tournament. To maintain a good level of competition, each team is advised to provide a competent referee.
o   Play will finish around 4pm each day, depending on your pool.
o   Remember to bring your own volleyball and whistle
