Internal and external factors influence learning and achievement. Attribution theory is one of the factors in the influence of learning and achievement.
Attribution theory is when people attempt to understand events and actions by attributing intentions, beliefs, and feelings to the events. We tend to categorize causation into internal and external factors and task difficulty.
External Factors
Are factors that include expectations from your family, friends, cultural or family responsibilities
External factors affect your decision; many know if it's right or not because of the external factors that influence the decision.
Internal Factors
Internal factors can affect the habits and behaviors of an individual
The environment influences the internal factors we are surrounded by
This can affect individuals' learning and achievements because it affects the way they pursue things
For example, if they did horribly in an exam, they will have it in their head that they will do horribly in future exams
Difficulty in a task can also be an internal factor; if a task is difficult, individuals tend to put that in their heads and give up before trying.
