Calvin: A Case Study

                      Meet Calvin :

Say hello to Calvin , a six- year old boy who loves to imagine things and go on adventuers. Calvin has a special friend named Hobbes , who is a tiger , but only Calvin can see him.

Together, Calvin and Hobbes have all sorts of fun adventures. They imagine they're in outer space, exploring jungles, and going on exciting quests. These adventures make their everyday life more exciting.

Calvin is also known for being a bit of a troublemaker, especially at school. He doesn't like doing his homework, and sometimes, he plays pranks on his teacher, Miss Wormwood.


Expectancy theory within Calvin 

Calvin sees no reason for education. He expects that the reward of education is not worth it. In the comic below, he is able to put effort into writing when he changes his mindset and sees that the reward of putting effort into writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure poor reasoning and inhibit clarity. He practiced the skill making his performance better because of the effort he gave.
