FRONT RANGE - DIVISION 16
In August, the FRD held its annual pot luck picnic on the grounds of the Colorado Railroad Museum. About 20 members of the three Denver area Divisions attended (Front Range, South Suburban, and Sunrise). The day was perfect and we ate too much, while talking trains all afternoon. The CRRM is really improving their exhibits and moving equipment around.
The clinics in the months of September and October were focused on Pat Lana’s CRANDIC model railroad.
Pat, a MMR, explained operations on the CRANDIC in a great clinic in September, and then graciously hosted an operating session on the layout in October.
About 13 FRD members and members from Pat’s operating crew assisted in a wonderful operating session. We had no cornfield meets but did run a few red boards. Pat was ready for that with an authentic urine testing kit.
The Front Range Division meets in the main building (Delay Junction) of the Colorado Railroad Museum at 7:00 pm every third Monday of the month. Exceptions are in August when we have our picnic and December when we have our Christmas party.
