Global Technology Report:
Japan and Czechia
Project Description
For this project, I explored how people in Japan and Czechia use technology and where gaps still exist. I wanted to see how culture, age, and location shape digital experiences and to practice turning research into clear, engaging visuals.
Locations Chosen
Japan
Czechia
One Interesting Fact
In Japan, nearly everyone is online, yet older adults still struggle with digital tools. In Czechia, rural areas face slower internet, showing that access alone doesn’t guarantee digital confidence.

Lesson Learned
This project taught me to dig beyond numbers and see the human side of technology—who uses it, who struggles, and why. I learned how to turn research into a story rather than just facts and how to organize visuals clearly. Collaborating through a shareable PowerPoint taught me how to coordinate work digitally, integrate content, and communicate ideas effectively. Comparing two countries also showed me the surprising ways culture and geography shape tech use, boosting my confidence in presenting complex ideas.
