Senior Year Timeline
August-September
Meet with your College Advisor at least once!
Complete the RDS (https://www.ncresidency.org/)
Use your CFNC account
If you don't know your login, try:
Username: lunch number
Password: birthday (mm/dd/yyyy)
If that doesn't work, let me know!
Remember, you must complete the RDS if you want in-state tuition!
Make a FSA ID for you and your parents/guardians (https://studentaid.gov/)
This needs to be done ASAP!
Anyone who is contributing to your FAFSA must have their own FSA ID
If you're applying to a 4-year school, make a Common App account (https://www.commonapp.org/)
Start working on the application and essay, the sooner the better!
Sign up to take the ACT/SAT (optional)
Start thinking/asking for recommendation letters
October
Do your RDS and FSA IDs if not done
Take the ACT/SAT if applicable (if not, sign up!)
Finish up applications before/during College Application Week (Oct. 16-20)
See your advisor if you need a fee waiver

Make sure your supplemental information was sent in
Follow up with teachers/counselors/coaches about recommendation letters and transcripts

Spring Semester
Keep an eye on your email and application portals!
Fill out the FAFSA if not done already
You'll begin to start getting admissions decisions...exciting!!
Remember to update your College Advisor on any admission decisions or other updates!!
Keep looking for scholarships (check you school's homepage for scholarship info)
