Parent Information
So you want to help your student prepare for life after high school...
That's great! So do I! No matter what your student's path, whether it's a 4 year college, community college, the military, or something else, I am here to help. Please feel free to email me or set up a meeting with me if you have questions or concerns about this process.
Below you'll find some helpful tips and information to make the post-grad process as easy as possible for your student.
How to make this process as easy as possible:
Provide required information and documentation
College applications, FAFSA, and RDS will ask for sensitive information such as tax returns, driver's license info, and social security numbers. These are only used to HELP your student! If you have concerns about providing this information please contact me.
Create your FSA ID
All parents/guardians who contribute to your student's FAFSA will need to create an FSA ID to sign the application.
Be involved!
Ask your student what colleges they are interested in or what they plan to major in. Have important conversations with your student about budget and other constraints your family may have. Encourage your student to stay motivated throughout this process! And of course come see me if you need guidance with these conversations.
I will be holding multiple after-school events throughout the year for you and your student to attend. Please plan on coming to these if you can make it!
Stay connected
Keep an eye on your email and texts for messages about events and deadlines!
