Throughout EDIT 672, I participated in a community of practice that developed around the authentic problem of designing and evaluating for quality in K-12 blended and online learning environments. I learned that there are several definitions of and tools for measuring quality blended and online learning. Defining and measuring quality in K-12 blended and online learning is still an emerging area with much opportunity for growth as K-12 online education becomes more mainstream. The desire to move towards quality, instead of complacency with the status quo, is an important step in designing opportunities for meaningful learning for all students. Innovation in learning cannot occur without a desire for improvement and movement towards quality.
