There aren't that many paved roads through North and Middle Caicos, so staying on route is pretty straightforward. Nevertheless, the Caicos Cycle Trail route is marked with “Dan Henry Arrows”. This method is used worldwide to mark cycle touring routes, and has been standardized by the League of American Bicyclists.
Dan Henry Arrows on the Caicos Cycle Trail consist of a circle with a line pointing in the direction you need to go.
Outbound arrows (Bellfield to Lorimers) are white, inbound arrows (Lorimers to Bellfield) are blue. In addition, for those with poor color vision, outbound arrows have the circle crossed by the directional line, inbound arrows the line does not cross the circle.
All turns and major intersections will have an arrow pointing the way, painted on the left side of the road just back from the turn.
Don't worry if it's been a while since you've seen an arrow - if the road remains paved, you haven't missed a turn, you're on the right road.
Double side-by-side arrows indicate the beginning of the outbound and inbound legs of the route, crossed double arrows indicate the end of each leg (in Lorimers, this is the turn-around point).
