CADME

CADME (Calgary Association for the Development of Music Education) is a volunteer-run registered charity which supports Calgary and area music education initiatives. Through workshops, concerts, academies, conferences, instrument purchases, artist residencies and other special events we have reached tens of thousands of students and hundreds of educators. We work with numerous other organizations in order to offer students young and old the very best opportunities to follow their musical dreams and achieve excellence.

CADME relies solely on donations, memberships and proceeds from a bi-annual casino.

Since our inception in 2003 CADME has granted over $1,000,000 towards music education programs and events and has made an enormous impact on local music education programs, teachers and students.

NEW INITIATIVES ARE COMING TO SUPPORT STUDENTS AND TEACHERS DURING THIS TIME. CHECK FACEBOOK PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Jens Lindemann on CADME...

“As both a professional performer and educator, I must say that my experience with CADME was beyond any expectations. The mandate of this organization is extraordinary and virtually unprecedented anywhere in the world. The students, mentored by international artists who are brought in to educate them both in concert and instruction, are the true beneficiaries. We simply could not have brought in the level of talent that we did for the 33rd International Trumpet Guild conference (first in Canada) without the help of CADME. I commend everything that CADME is about. The symbiotic relationship that you help foster between artists, students and community is a tremendous example of how things should be working not only in Canada, but around the world! As a Canadian now living in Los Angeles, CADME’s very existence makes me feel proud to be an artist and educator from Alberta”. – Jens Lindemann
