RELEASE of ANSYS 19.1

Featured in this release is ANSYS Additive Suite, the most powerful, multiproduct simulation solution for metal additive manufacturing (AM). Additive Suite offers a complete workflow that will help you determine the best machine, part setup and material configuration before printing a single 3D part. As a result, you’ll greatly reduce the time and costs associated with trial-and-error testing. Additive Print, included with Additive Suite, allows you to simulate the printing process and generate the critical data needed to avoid build failure.

Equally exciting is the introduction of ANSYS Twin Builder. With this first-of-its-kind product, you can now build, validate and deploy simulation-based digital twins within a single workflow. This open solution easily integrates with any industrial internet of things (IIoT) platform to allow optimal predictive maintenance of industrial assets. You'll reduce risk, avoid unplanned downtime and speed product development.

ANSYS 19.1 also includes ANSYS EnVision Pro, a new version of ANSYS EnSight Viewer, with which you can manipulate EnSight data to create new views and photorealistic images in real time. We've also added new analysis capabilities for designing wireless communication, autonomous and electrification technologies, plus new tools and functionality across our family of products. ANSYS 19 is here!

Next-Generation Pervasive Engineering Simulation

As the digital and physical worlds become one, products are growing in complexity. Companies are facing unrelenting pressure to innovate, lower cycle times and reduce costs, while also increasing quality and eliminating risk. They’re asking engineers to solve problems that appear unsolvable with current technology.

ANSYS 19 empowers all engineers to tame complexity and enhance efficiency for greater productivity. The latest release updates our industry-leading engineering simulation solutions and offers tools that improve reliability, performance, speed and user experience. New capabilities deliver accurate results for problems that were once difficult or impossible to model. Users with little or no simulation experience can quickly employ the simplified, automated workflows to optimize their product designs. These are just some of the many features that will continue to propel Pervasive Engineering Simulation forward.

ANSYS 19.0: More Cores, More HPC !

ANSYS plans to release the version 19.0 of its engineering simulation software in January 2018. In this release, there will be changes in the performance of High Performance Computing (HPC) for some ANSYS products.

The ANSYS products listed below, from January 2018, will have access to four computing cores. Coupled with the recent increases in HPC scalability, this will lead to significant performance gains. The products concerned are:

ANSYS Mechanical + ANSYS CFD + ANSYS HFSS + ANSYS SIwave + ANSYS Maxwell + ANSYS Q3D Extractor + ANSYS Icepak

ANSYS 19 will be released in January 2018!

These changes will take effect with the installation of the 19.0 License Manager (when available). For Mechanical and Fluid products, changes will be backward compatible with earlier versions, provided that you use one of the licenses listed above. For electronic products, these HPC changes will be compatible with version 19.0 and above.

ANSYS Discovery Live revolutionizes product development !

On September 7, 2017, ANSYS, Inc. premiered its revolutionary ANSYS Discovery Live technology. This new tool will change the way of designing and supporting the spirit of the inventors. With DiscoveryLive, the physical properties of the product are instantly mirrored, that is, directly during geometric modeling.

This live simulation of mechanical, thermal and fluid properties allows the designer to directly recognize physical connections, immediately evaluate design changes and develop the product from the start, not only geometrically but also physically. Until now, the complex iterations between 3D modeling and simulation have been removed since 3D modeling simultaneously simulates physical properties.
