The CAC is a parent-led group that advises the San Diego Unified School District on special education policies, programs, and services. We work to ensure families’ voices are heard and valued.
Anyone! Parents, caregivers, educators, community members, and students are all welcome. Meetings are open to the public.
Nope. You can attend meetings, speak during public comment, and access resources without becoming a member — but we’d love to have you join officially when you're ready.

Yes! Many of us started in the same place. The CAC is here to help families learn and feel more confident navigating the system. No expertise required.

Absolutely. Use our Public Comment Form or speak during the public comment portion of any meeting. We’re listening — and we follow up.
We’re an advisory group connected to the district, but we’re parent-led and operate independently. Our job is to bring family experiences directly to decision-makers.
Yes. We work closely with SDUSD’s translation team and are pushing for more accessible, multilingual options. Let us know your language needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
