There are two airports in Osaka:
KIX = Kansai International Airport, known as "Kansai Airport"
ITM = Osaka International Airport, known as "Itami Airport"
Both airports might be abbreviated as "Osaka", so make sure which airport you are going to use.
Choose the appropriate directions page based on your accommodation and the airport you are using:

Direction to the venue:
To the Media Center Building (the venue)
The closest station is JR Sugimotocho. It is 12-15 minutes from Tennoji Station by JR Hanwa Line. Use Platform 8 and take any local train from there at Tennoji Station.
For the way from Kansai Airport to Sugimotocho Station, please see Directions for those staying at OMU Guest House and using KIX (Kansai Airport) above.
From Shin-Osaka, Umeda, or Namba, Subway (Osaka Metro) Midosuji Line (the red line in the map) takes you to Tennoji and Abiko. Go south (to Nakamozu).
From JR Sugimotocho Station to the venue: 7 minite walk. Use the East Exit of the station, turn right, and walk into the campus. Walk "Nambu Street," and turn right. Then you are walking "Keyaki Street." In 3-4 minutes, you will see a building with 10 floors, it is the Media Center Building (Library Building), and enter it.

From Subway Abiko Station to the venue: 20-22 minutes walk.
In the Media Center Building:
On the first (ground) floor, there are many gates to the restricted area (the building is the library building). Please use the right-most gate (closest to the security person) . When you are asked who does what at the gate, please answer "attending the conference on the 10th floor." The venue is on the 10th floor.
On Thursday, Sept 12, the library is closed, and we can use only the West Entrance.
Although cashless payment is spreading across Japan, there are still many places that only accept cash. For example, taxis, ticket vending machines at stations, and small supermarkets/restaurants do not usually accept credit cards. So we recommend you get enough Japanese yen before or soon after getting to Japan.
Even in a place they accept credit cards, debit cards (including those issued in US) would NOT be available. However, it is known that ATMs in 7-Eleven (convenience store) accept debit cards as well as credit cards.
