Directions from KIX to OMU Guest House (and the conference venue)

1. From KIX (Kansai Airport) to Sakaishi Station

• There are two railway companies at Kansai Airport: JR (Japan Railways) and Nankai. Use JR.

• Purchase a 900-yen ticket at a blue vending machine of JR.

  • • Tips: In JR, green vending machines are for express tickets, while blue vending machines are for non-express tickets. The vending machines should have an English language option.

• Go through the JR ticket gate (by inserting your ticket into the machine). Board a "Rapid" train (Kansai Airport Rapid). It is NOT an Airport Express (Limited Express) "Haruka". Rapid trains depart every 15-20 minutes.

• Get off at Sakaishi Station. This ride takes around 45 minutes.

2. From Sakaishi Station to Sugimotocho Station

• After getting off at Sakaishi Station, wait on the same platform for a "Local" train. No other trains stop at Sugimotocho. Local trains depart every 15-20 minutes.

• Board the local train and get off at Sugimotocho. If the door doesn't open automatically, press the "open" button next to the door. This ride takes around 5 minutes.

  • • Tips: There is no elevator from the platform at Sugimotocho Station. If you need wheelchair access, consult a station officer at Kansai Airport Station. 

3. From Sugimotocho Station to OMU Guest House (and the conference venue)

• At Sugimotocho Station, exit through the East Exit. From there, you can see the campus surrounded by trees.

• See the campus map of Sugimoto Campus. Sugimotocho Station is located at the top-left corner, OMU Guest House is marked as 23 (top-right corner), and the Media Center (conference venue) is marked as 11.
