home insurance adarsh vista refunds
pl find below the list of further actionables/discussions (also sent on whatsapp) ---------------- 1. have sent ashit the documents reqd by seller (pan, aadar, canceled cheques, advance recd confirmation letter etc) . he will fill the details in the "request letter from seller" format, and send the scan to me. The seller wants to see this scan before signing this letter, so post his approval, ashit will visit us at indiranagar and collect the originals, and also this "request letter" from seller. 2. had a detailed discussion regarding property insurance with mohsin/insurance person. For any property, the home insurance is mandatory, as i am aware. now, this is Rs 2.3-odd lakhs for the 15-yr term, taken from the loan amount. the bank will not be able to reduce the period (since the customer, at best, can only given a verbal commitment to close in 5-7 years time). but if and when the loan is closed, the bank/insurance company, will reimburse, on a pro-rata basis, the balance insurance premium for the remaining period, should the customer ask for it. For example, if the customer closes in 5 years, the bank will refund (10/15 *2.3 lakhs) back to the customer. 3. also regarding rate - the sanction letter given on 12 may 2019, is valid for 45 days max, ie till 27 june. So, we will try to close by that time. however, incase it spills over to july 1st week, we understand that we run the risk of a different rate (based on mclr change etc). 4. once we inform you the regn date as "x", you can generate the DDs on "x-1" date and send us scan copies. On the eveving of "x-1", we and the seller will prepare the final sale deed, and then proceed for the registration on the morning of "x" date. Hope this is ok.

rbi neft charges gst rtgs
RBI has removed charges for NEFT, RTGS payments. It has asked banks to pass on benefits to customers. RBI has removed charges for payments via NEFT and RTGS and asked banks to pass on the benefits to customers. This means that payments via NEFT and RTGS would become either free or charges would be drastically reduced. This was announced in the Statement on Developmental and Regulatory Policies, which was released today by the central bank as part of its monetary policy review. The Reserve Bank levies minimum charges on banks for transactions routed through its Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) meant for large-value instantaneous fund transfers and the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) System for other fund transfers. Banks, in turn, levy charges on their customers. In order to provide an impetus to digital funds movement, it has been decided to do away with the charges levied by the Reserve Bank for transactions processed in the RTGS and NEFT systems. Banks will be required, in turn, to pass these benefits to their customers. Instructions to banks in this regard will be issued within a week. 1. National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT) NEFT is a payment system facilitating funds transfers from one bank account to another. One can access this service either by using Internet banking or by visiting the bank branch. (Not all bank branches are enabled with this service.) Once you initiate the transfer, the money reaches the beneficiary account within hours. There is no limit on the minimum or maximum amount you can transfer, however, individual banks may put restrictions on the per transaction amount. Currently NEFT charges of the State Bank of India (SBI) are as follows: Amount Internet banking charges Transaction charges at bank branch Up to Rs 10,000 Rs 1 plus GST Rs 2.50 plus GST Above Rs 10,000 and up to Rs 1 lakh Rs 2 plus GST Rs 5 plus GST Above Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh Rs 3 plus GST Rs 15 plus GST More than Rs 2 lakh Rs 5 plus GST Rs 25 plus GST The above charges are applicable as per transaction basis and attracts Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the rate of 18 percent. 2. Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) This is a facility used for transferring high value amounts. In RTGS, the minimum amount that can be currently transferred is Rs 2 lakh. Below are SBI’s RTGS charges: Amount Internet banking charges Transaction charges at bank branch From Rs 2 lakh and up to Rs 5 lakh Rs 5 plus GST Rs 25 plus GST Above Rs 5 lakh Rs 10 plus GST Rs 50 plus GST The above charges are applicable as per transaction basis and attracts Goods and Services Tax (GST) at the rate of 18 percent. You can only transfer funds using RTGS on any working day between Monday and Saturday either via internet banking or bank branch.

tighten screw tax evader guideline compounding
Tightening the screw on tax evaders, the revised guidelines issued by the Income Tax (I-T) Department have made serious offences under black money and benami laws “generally” non-compoundable. This means that a person or entity would not be able to settle a case of tax evasion by just paying the tax demand, penalty and interest. The new guidelines will kick in from June 17, 2019 and apply to all cases for compounding received on or after this date. Listing 13 cases, where the offences are not to be generally compounded, and also grouping the offences in two parts, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has directed its senior officers to circulate the revised guidelines for compliance by concerned authorities. Offences forming category ‘A’ include failure to pay tax deducted at source under Chapter XVII-B or tax payable under Section 115-0. Failure to pay the tax collected at source also falls under this category. The category ‘B’ offences include willful attempt to evade tax, failure to produce accounts and documents, and false statement in verification. While the first category offences are open to compounding, offences such as willful evasion of tax and removal or concealment or transfer or delivery of property to thwart tax recovery in a search operation are not to be compounded. “Offences under Sections 275A, 275B and 276 of the Act will not be compounded,” said the new guideline that supersedes the one issued in 2014. The guidelines state that a category ‘A’ offence on more than three occasions would not be generally compounded. Any offence which has bearing on any offence under the Black Money (Undisclosed Foreign Income and Assets) and Imposition of Tax Act, 2015 would not be generally compounded, the revised guidelines said. Further, any offence which has bearing on any offence under the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Act, 1988 would not merit compounding by tax authorities. The CBDT guidelines said that offences committed by a person which, as per the information available with the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax and other officials concerned, have a bearing on a case under investigation (at any stage including enquiry, filing of FIR/complaint) by the Enforcement Directorate, CBI, Lokpal, Lokayukta or any other Central or state agency are also not to be normally compounded. “Notwithstanding anything contained in these guidelines, the Finance Minister may relax restrictions in Para 8.1 for compounding of an offence in a deserving case, on consideration of a report from the Board on the petition of an applicant,” said the tax body.
conventional wisdom entrepreneur age factor middle age
: Getty Images If you're in your 30s or 40s (or even 50s) and you believe conventional wisdom, you might think the entrepreneurial train has passed you by and it's too late to start your own business. Wrong: A recent study conducted by the Census Bureau and two MIT professors found the most successful entrepreneurs tend to be middle-aged--even in the tech sector. The researchers compiled a list of 2.7 million company founders who hired at least one employee between 2007 and 2014. The average startup founder was 45 years old when he or she founded the most successful tech companies. And in general terms, a 50-year-old entrepreneur is almost twice as likely to start an extremely successful company as a 30-year-old. (Or, for that matter, a successful side hustle.) Still not convinced? Check out these stats: A 50-year-old startup founder is 2.2 times more likely to found a successful startup as a 30-year-old. A 40-year-old startup founder is 2.1 times more likely to found a successful startup as a 25-year-old. A 50-year-old startup founder is 2.8 times more likely to found a successful startup as a 25-year-old founder. And if you want a really fun statistic: A 60-year-old startup founder is 3 times as likely to found a successful startup as a 30-year-old startup founder--and is 1.7 times as likely to found a startup that winds up in the top 0.1 percent of all companies. Why? There are plenty of reasons, but one key factor is the difference between ideas and execution. Ideas are great, but execution is everything. The same is true with strategy: Strategy matters, but tactics--what you actually do--is what helps companies grow. It's much harder to execute well when you have limited experience. It's much harder to develop a sound strategy when you have limited experience. It's much harder to make smart tactical decisions--especially when you need to make a number of decisions every day--when you have limited experience. Think of it this way: People love to say, "You need to know what you don't know." The only way to decrease the number of things you don't know--and have a reasonable grasp of which things you do well, and which you don't--is by gaining experience. That's especially true where leadership experience is concerned. So, if you're in your 40s and you want to start a business, do it. If you're in your 50s, do it. If you're in your 60s...do it. Successful entrepreneurs don't have some intangible entrepreneurial something--ideas, talent, drive, skills, creativity--that you don't. Their success only seems inevitable in hindsight. Every entrepreneur at some point looked in the mirror and said, "Lots of other people have succeeded...and so will I." Believe in yourself--especially if you're willing to work hard and persevere. Science proves that your experience, your skills, your connections, your expertise, and yes, your age, are on your side. Start putting all that to work for you. Not for someone else.
freshmen students future work technology nuance
If you were asked to speak to a class of freshmen students about the future of work, what would you tell them? About a scenario that involves the continuing march of technology, automation and artificial intelligence, or one where collaboration, new ways of thinking, and creative problem solving dominate? Or would it be a bit of both? More importantly, how would you prepare your organisation to receive these students in the future? The workplace of tomorrow is a dynamic concept that evolves with shifts in the nature of work, demographics of the workforce, societal challenges and the penetration of technology. Hence, if you had to tell the freshmen class something useful, it would be that to stay ahead, you have to focus on your ability to continually adapt, collaborate, and embrace change while holding on to your core strengths and values. How’d you prepare your organisation to receive these students in the future? Tomorrow’s workplace is being given shape and form by today’s workers. And the group that is the most influential and vocal is the millennial worker. Millennials will soon account for over half of an organisation’s workforce, making them an important cohort to collaborate with and integrate into an organisation’s functioning. The changes brought about by this group will be as far reaching as the one brought about by the baby boomers in the 1970s, and the industrial workers in the early 1900s. Given India’s demography, and the high share of millennials in the country, we need to have a more nuanced approach. Close to 30% of India’s population is below 15 years and by 2035, the country will have the highest working population anywhere in the world—close to 65% of the overall population. Young Indians have changed their outlook towards work. “Am I learning and growing?” is a question that resonates most with them, and the way your organisation helps them find an answer will be the reason for their engagement with you. A steeper learning curve, and not a long tenure, is what they want to boast about. Entrepreneurship is another trait that defines millennials. Even within their organisations, they exhibit creative confidence by leveraging various platforms to collaborate and innovate. The growing popularity of hackathons and other ideation events stand testament to this. Organisations that fashion a similar culture, and are open to new ideas will reap the benefits. Let’s look at three areas where organisations can improve productivity to gain a competitive advantage. Integration vs fragmentation There are many implications of an organisation where older employees and millennials work together. A successful workplace leverages the strengths of both. The key to success is creating and maintaining an integrating culture. This enables teamwork, connect, and a sense of shared learning. The current workforce demands an integration of wisdom derived from experience and the drive for innovation brought in by youth. The end result of such a synthesis would be a seamless business outcome that is creative, functional, and economical. Collectivism vs individualism Specialisation is highly prized by today’s employees as skills, experience, and networks become individually held. Companies can lay claim to these only as long as the individual is affiliated with the organisation. Rather than discouraging this trend, it’s up to the organisation to integrate these individual assets into the collective use of the organisation. The only way to create collaboration and shared learning in the workplace is by encouraging a sustainable synergy between individuals who focus on their individual knowledge while delivering a common purpose. Experience vs inefficiency The interactions an employee has with the outside world as a consumer is far superior to the inefficiency she meets in her organisation as an employee. An integrated workforce will be a differentiator as a workplace. Every company is strongly predisposed to deliver an employee experience based on deeply-entrenched legacy systems, culture, and unwritten rules. The older an organisation is, the more frustrating the experience becomes. The workforce of today does not distinguish between the experience at work with that outside of work and it is important to relook at employee experience through the lens of a consumer. Making your workplace and workforce ready for the future involves investments in time, people and technology. There is a clear window of opportunity for organisations to shape their future using the above three levers. An integrated workforce is what will be a differentiator for any company to stay relevant as a workplace. In the future workplace, as millennials and older workers seek out greater meaning and relevance in what they do, the challenges will be interesting. A greater awareness of the social impact of business, a strong desire for fairness and increased focus on individual rights and freedoms will make the workplace invigorating. However, the desire to do good, the thirst for learning, and an acceptance that we are in this together will totally change the workplace we know today, for the better.
desktless work pain point ability company generation
There are several ways that technology can make an impact toward improving deskless work. A major pain point is the ability for companies to effectively recruit and retain employees. The turnover rate for hourly workers is often orders of magnitude higher than the yearly turnover rate for office workers. For example, the restaurant industry has an astronomical rate of turnover with an average churn of around 73%, (1.5x the industry average of 46% for all private sector workers and multiples greater than the annual 10-20% tech worker turnover). More recently, the growth in scooter popularity necessitates employing a deskless workforce to pick up scooters, charge them, and return them to local pickup zones – but the time spent trying to hire for this position can mean a bottleneck on growth. To help solve this issue, companies like Workstream have developed platforms to help source, screen, hire and onboard employees efficiently as companies grow. With a focus on hourly workers, Workstream combines AI and text messaging to hire workers four times faster than other methods. Coaching and training is key to get the deskless worked ready and grow. CGS’s 2018 survey of more than 500 deskless workers found that there is a clear opportunity to be solved in learning and development, with Generation Z workers preferring simulation exercises where Generation X preferred video training. Today, training typically happens in a classroom or behind a computer, and takes hours or even days – time that removes workers from the flow of their daily schedule, not to mention separates the training from the work to which it’s intended to be applied. A survey conducted by APPrise Mobile found that 12% of respondents were not fully satisfied with the amount of training they receive and 11% received no training at all. By shortening training sessions and distributing them via mobile platforms, workers can learn in small bites without interrupting workflow. The rise of technology will unlock more effective mediums for office workers – from text messages, mobile friendly apps, and audio-only classes on mobile devices, to immersion learning via VR/AR. This opportunity is what inspired by previous writing on a mobile-based social reading app which is a new form of reading/training for people who do not often sit in front of desks. Connecting the distributed workforce so that they can work effectively. Deskless workers are often out of the office, making it hard to stay connected – but with the advances in tablets, cloud computing, and the availability of 4G internet, a distributed workforce can much more easily stay connected and working on the same page. And it’s something workers crave: a survey by Speakap found that 53% of global frontline workers in retail, hospitality and entertainment already use unapproved messaging apps like WhatsApp for work. Slack was created for office workers to openly communicate more efficiently, and companies like Crew and UpKeep are bringing that concept to deskless work. Crew helps teams stay on the same page by providing a platform with collaborative features designed specifically for an hourly workforce. UpKeep, built for maintenance workers, addresses unique problems these workers face including work requests, inventory management, and QR codes for automated maintenance history. By making platforms for specific jobs, developers can create tools that do more than just connect coworkers via messaging. Most deskless workers simply do not have the capital to jumpstart their business, so having some form of financing is essential for them to start working. This is particularly relevant for small business owners who are working on projects like constructionor manufacturing. We’ve seen horizontal solutions like Kabbage and Blue Vine play a major role in providing SMBs access to capital but opportunity is ripe for companies enabling freelancers and operators in specific industries to access more competitive capital. Ergeon is an example of a company that fronts money to contractors so they can buy materials for their construction projects. Using data to unlock pre-production financing and more tailored invoice factoring is low hanging fruit as are solutions that guarantee income for freelancers. Back office management is another pain point that needs to be solved. As workers favor more flexible jobs, it’s not uncommon for some to choose to remain contractors or take on multiple jobs at the same time. However, a lot of first-time freelancers don’t realize the additional work that comes with this form of job. Managing accounting, taxes, insurance, and countless other administrative tasks can quickly become tricky for many of these self-starters to manage. Startups solving these problems help save freelancers time as well as ensure that they are making the best financial decision possible. As technology continues to improve, look for more companies to target the issues facing the deskless workforce. These workers are in the majority but have been underserved by tech companies, an oversight that has started correcting itself. What type of deskless work do you know more about than anyone else and what service could you provide to take advantage of these trends? If you are working on any of these areas, we would love to talk to you.
arvind gupta kpmg india diversified org culture technology
In an interview with ETCIO.com, Arvind Gupta, Partner and Head, Management Consulting, KPMG in India, talks about how technology helps promote a diversified organizational culture. Edited excerpts: How can technology promote a diversified organizational culture? Reward and Recognize Employees: Performance recognition management platforms are an indispensable tool for managing employee productivity by continuously monitoring and measuring key productivity metrics while ensuring that the employees are recognized for their contribution. This fosters a positive culture in the organization. Brand Solutions ET BFSI National Cooperative Summit 2019 Culture informed by data: Algorithmic metrics that measure/approximate the degree of employee engagement, and retention have been closer to reality than ever before. Technology enables capabilities to understand sentiment like pulse surveys. These technology interventions have enabled the measurement of the response of employees to culture stimuli in real-time. Changing the Way Businesses Communicate: Access to easier, faster and more intuitive means of connecting via the usage of personal devices like mobile phones and tablets has reduced the communication lag. With technology enabled virtual presence, the employees can now work from alternate locations and still stay connected. What are some team-building gamification activities that CIOs can partake in or plan? Digitally enabled gamification: Gamification has proven to be an effective tool in increasing the productivity of an employee. With the advent of enterprise mobility, healthy competition can be bolstered using leader boards, innovative rewards and recognition. These techniques can be used extensively for remote-only teams as well. In-line with the in-person interactions, even the virtually connected teams find it easier to engage in work-related interactions. How can technology help in employee’s sentiment analysis and positively influence a welfare-based environment? To begin sentiment analysis, surveys can be seen as the “voice of the employee.” A sentiment analysis software is an Artificial Intelligence -based tool that can give organizations an insight into their work processes and issues. Systems use machine language processing algorithms – a sub-domain of AI. By collecting and analyzing the languages accumulated over a period of time, the system gauges employee feelings through it. The company then uses the learning in order to iron out any issues related to employee well-being, boosting employee engagement. Digital technology due to its higher reach (on account of being device agnostic) can provide access to welfare schemes with a high degree of self service options. The employees can contribute as well as opt for specific areas of interest. Such initiatives bolster the efficacy of a welfare-focused environment. So how does change occur in an organization environment due to sentiment analysis? Let’s deep dive. Helps in taking corrective measures when any dissatisfaction is found: Sentiment analysis can help know and evaluate employees’ attitudes towards the company and take the requisite steps to change policies. Encourages transparency and open communication: Sentiment analysis does one part of the job by understanding the opinions of the employees regarding the policies of the organization. Gives correct picture about the employee opinions: With the help of sentiment analysis, companies can get a fair idea about the opinions voiced by their employees and also evaluate whether they are based on false perceptions.
bengaluru water shortage moratorium karnataka government
With Bengaluru reeling from water shortage, the Karnataka government is now mulling a moratorium on construction of new apartments in the city for the next five years. Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister Dr G Parameshwara on Thursday said that the proposal comes in the wake of apartment residents, especially in the city’s suburbs, relying purely on tanker water for their drinking and domestic purposes. “Bengaluru has numerous apartment complexes and many keep coming up. With builders of apartments going ahead with construction and sale of apartments without making adequate arrangements for a basic necessity like drinking water, the state government is seriously considering clamping a five-year ban on granting permissions for construction of apartments,” Dr G Parameshwara said. Speaking to media the Deputy CM said that the rampant use of tanker water led to residents suffering from skin ailments and other health hazards. “We will discuss the issue of imposing a five-year moratorium on permissions for construction of apartments with all builders and developers in the coming weeks and will make a decision,’’ he added. The government’s proposal comes in the view of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board’s ongoing Cauvery Water Supply Phase. The BWSSB’s project, which aims at providing drinking water connections to the suburban areas of Bengaluru, is likely to be completed in the next five years. “A five-year moratorium will ensure that each and every household gets Cauvery water connection before new apartments come up. But we must also take into consideration that the new constructions will come up due to increase in population. The question is whether the developers can come up with a way to provide 24-hour clean water supply for drinking and domestic purposes,” a source said. DCM Parameshwara also said that concerned officials have been directed to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Linganamakki Project, which aims at diverting water from Netravati River to Bengaluru, Kolar and Chikkaballapur to meet drinking water requirements. “As the Linganamakki proposal is facing opposition, steps will be taken after examining the pros and cons. This will happen only after DPR is ready,” he said.
violators kozhikode district kmvd department gps trackers
Department readying list of violators in Kozhikode district, warns of stringent measures The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), on a directive from the State government, is preparing a list of educational institutions in Kozhikode district which are yet to install GPS trackers in their vehicles. Though a few educational institutions and private transport operators are opposed to the “forced implementation” of the stipulation, MVD officials say no vehicle will be exempted from the rule. “We have data on all educational institution vehicles that have so far cleared fitness tests as part of the pre-monsoon drive and installed GPS trackers. Those defying the order will have to face legal action,” said Regional Transport Officer (Enforcement) P.M. Shabeer. He also warned that violations would invite fine and temporary cancellation of vehicle permits. Mr. Shabeer said that GPS trackers would be made mandatory for all vehicles in the district, including contract vehicles and new vehicles, as part of tightening of safety regulations and web-based surveillance. “On completion of inspection of educational institution vehicles, we will start enforcing the rule for other private vehicles,” he added. GPS trackers were made mandatory in educational institution buses as it was found to be the best medium for parents to keep track of the movements of their children. The system was also found extremely helpful for school authorities in transparently handling emergency communications and short message services. Hard to get Meanwhile, a few private management schools in the district claimed that the shortage of quality GPS tracking devices coupled with their high prices continued to be a hurdle when it came to complying with the regulations. Moreover, the sudden increase in demand has resulted in the shortage of devices in the market, and many suppliers are waiting for the arrival of stock from distant locations, they said. ‘Unnecessary promotion’ Coming down on the MVD move, a section of private bus operators said that the transport authorities were promoting unnecessary gadgets. A district-level functionary of the All Kerala Bus Operators’ Association said that the price of GPS tracker, which was below ?5,000, witnessed a three-fold rise soon after the government issued the order. At least ?15,000 will be required now to get a quality tracker, he added. The District Motor Workers’ Protection Committee too called upon the State government to reconsider its order. K.K. Mammu, convener of the committee, said that the Union government’s directive was accepted by the State government as such without considering the concerns of vehicle owners in the State. He also said a State-level meeting of the committee to be held in Thrissur on June 18 would discuss future protest programmes against the directive which had not been implemented in any other State.
idiom eggs in basket fixed income equities diversification
Most of us have heard the old idiom, “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”. If the basket falls, you will break all the eggs. On the other hand, if you distribute the eggs to two or three different baskets, even if one basket falls, you will have eggs intact in the other baskets. This is the essence of diversification. In the context of financial planning, the eggs are your money and the baskets are different types of assets like equity, fixed income, commodities, real estate etc. Asset prices and performances are subject to market risks, but if you diversify across different asset classes or sub-classes, then underperformance of a particular asset class or sub-class will only have a limited impact on your net worth. Diversification is essential to risk reduction and is one of the most important aspects of financial planning. Diversification across different classes Different asset classes, e.g. fixed income, equity, gold etc have different risk return characteristics. Investors should understand that, risk and return are directly related; higher the risk, higher the return and vice versa. Fixed income or debt is the lowest risk asset class. Within fixed income, risk free assets like bank Fixed Deposits and Government small savings schemes (Public Provident Fund, National Savings Certificates, Kisan Vikas Patra, Post Office Monthly Income Scheme etc.) are the lowest risk asset. Since risk and return are directly related, the lowest risk assets also give the lowest returns. Debt mutual funds and debentures are in the next risk grade. Within debt mutual funds, overnight funds, liquid funds, ultra-short duration debt funds, money market funds etc. have low risk. Short duration funds and corporate bond funds are next in the risk gradient. Longer duration funds like medium duration funds, dynamic bond funds and long duration debt are higher up in the risk gradient. Suggested reading: diversification and how to take advantage of it Gold is step higher than fixed income in the risk gradient. As an asset class, Gold has higher risk compared to fixed income, but lower risk compared to equity. Historically, over very long investment horizons (e.g. 10 years) Gold has given superior returns compared to fixed income and is usually seen as a hedge to inflation in the long term. But in the short to medium term Gold can be more volatile than the fixed income. In the last 10 years, Gold has given 7.7% annualized returns versus 7.4% annualized returns from bank FDs, but in the last 5 years, Gold has underperformed versus fixed income. Equity, generally, has the highest risk among all asset classes, but also gives the highest returns over sufficiently long investment tenure. At the same time, equity is much more volatile than either fixed income or Gold. In the last 10 years, Nifty 100 has given 16% annualized returns, while Gold and bank FDs gave 7.7% and 7.4% annualized returns respectively. In the last 5 years, while Gold underperformed, Nifty outperformed giving 15% annualized returns. Different asset classes also outperform each other in different economic cycles. Fixed income outperforms equity in bear markets, while equity outperforms fixed income in bull markets. Similarly gold and equity cycles are different. For example, equity in India outperformed gold in the early 90s, but gold outperformed in the late 90s and early 2000s in the wake of the Asian currency crisis and the dotcom crash. Equity again outperformed gold from 2000 to 2008, but gold outperformed equity from 2008 to 2012. Equity is once again outperforming gold over the last 4 years or so. In 2018 fixed outperformed equity. By diversifying investments across different asset classes you will be able to smoothen your portfolio volatility in different economic or market cycles and reduce the overall risk of your portfolio. Risk Diversification in Equity There are two kinds of risk in equity investments, Systematic Risk or Market Risk and Unsystematic Risk. Market risk is caused by events which affect the whole economy of the country or even the world. For example, stock market falling due to depreciation of Rupee, rise in inflation, crude price increase, trade wars between large nations, global recession etc. is attributed to market risk. Market risk is uncontrollable and affects all stocks. Investors should be prepared for market risk, when investing in equity. The risk of share price of a company falling due to poor financial performance or any unfavourable development which can affect the industry sector is known as unsystematic risks. Unsystematic risk can be caused by company specific factors or sector specific factors. Unsystematic risk can be diversified by investing in a portfolio of stocks. If you invest in a sufficiently large number of stocks, then even if one or two stocks give poor results, your exposure to them is limited and your overall portfolio can still generate good returns for you. Mutual funds for diversification Mutual funds are the best instruments for risk diversification. Mutual funds not only diversify company concentration risk i.e. risk of individual stocks underperforming, they also diversify sector risks by investing in multiple industry sectors. Certain types of equity mutual fund schemes like multicap funds, large and midcap funds etc. also invest across different market cap segments, e.g. large cap, midcap and small cap. Different market cap segments have different risk / return characteristics. Large cap stocks have lower risk than midcap stocks, while small cap stocks have the highest risk. On the other hand, midcap and small cap stocks usually outperform large cap stocks in the long term. Suggested reading: why should large cap funds form the core of your mutual fund portfolio Mutual funds can also help you diversify across different asset classes. By investing in hybrid funds you can get exposure to both equity and fixed income asset classes. There are different types of hybrid funds. Some hybrid funds have a higher exposure to equity, while some have higher exposure to fixed income. You should select the appropriate fund based on your risk appetite. Building a well diversified portfolio requires a fairly large capital outlay because you will have to invest in a large number of securities. By investing in mutual funds, you can get the benefits of diversification with a much smaller investment e.g. Rs 5,000 only. Mutual funds pool the money of different people and invest them in different securities to create a diversified portfolio. Each investor in a mutual fund owns units of the fund, which represents a fraction of the holdings of the mutual fund scheme they invest. You must read: why mutual funds are the best investment class Conclusion We have long term, medium term and short term goals in life. Different asset types are suitable for different investment tenures and objectives. Equity and gold are suitable for long term goals. A mix of equity and fixed income may be suitable for medium term goals. For short term goals, you should invest only in fixed income. A diversified mix of asset types can help you meet each of your financial planning goals without compromising the other. Investors should discuss how mutual funds can help them diversify risks with their financial advisors

I have been listening to his speeches, his outlook and views, his party’s progress through several years now. Infact, when he became a proud father two days back, I felt as if there has been a joyous birth in my own family. Regardless of the controversies (and a few times his change of stances), I admire his clarity of thought, his erudition, his Thamizhan-ness, and his courage. I wish him “Pallaandu Pallaandu Vaazhga, Valarga” In the same breath, I ardently admire Geetha Madam’s steadfast commitment to Thamizh, clearly articulated through each of her Quora posts. I wish her many future decades in the service of Thamizh Thai. I was recently at the Wagah border, where, as a patriotic Indian, I chanted back to the BSF commandant’s VANDE (“maataram”), BHARAT MATA KI (“jai”) and HINDUSTAN (“zindabad”). I call upon my fellow thamizhs to provide me more chants like THAMIZHAN ENDRU SOLLADA (“thalai nimirndhu nilladaa”) [6:12 PM, 1/15/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: A dog too will feel happy when its owner talks to it kindly and says - jimmy, chu chu chu, in its language. Unfortunately for modikkoodiyaan, neither is he my owner nor am i a doggie. Of course, I cannot spend my energy and stop Raama-naayi and sundakka-naayi from wagging their tails and going behind moda's biscuit ( the "tamil" video is the biscootu) [6:29 PM, 1/15/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: guys - a minute of seriousness please. bjp means hindu-rashtra, bjp stands for hindu-hindi-hindustan Under their regime, en thamizh azhinju poyidum. pl show me ONE thing they have done for the cause of Thamizh. I can show you 100 things they have done in the last 4 years against Thamizh So shut your traps up, once and for all. If your brahminical roots allow you to welcome that bastard Gindi (through its illegimate grandmom Samsrutam, please please re-examine your premises. Between Gindi and Thamizh, it cannot be win-win - it can only be a zero-sum game I am aware that I am fighting a losing battle. I am aware that Gindi (and eventually English) will eventually consume me. But i prefer losing to Aangilam. And who knows, miracles can happen, 1000 years from now. So Modu and his cronies (inspite of all the good things they have done for the country the last few years) are a strong no-no for me I welcome any positive messages about my mother (Thamizh Thai) but shall ignore all other nonsense. Thanks, and warm Pongal nalvaazthukkal to all (Thamizhar Thirunaal) [1:24 PM, 2/7/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: ivvalovu thevuyida pasanga thamizh nattu brahmana koodiyangalum irukkanga, nam nanbar koottathilum irukkaanga ! pundakoodiyan sundakka For benefit of raamakka who as a non-Tam, just does not have a clue about what is given above - Christian priests apparently prayed for Modakku not coming back to power. The dance form being practised is actually not "thamizh", but actually a kerala brahmin ritual called "thattu kazhi". one is supposed to perform a few dance steps to percussion instruments, signifying rapturous ecstasy in the presence of lord almighty. ----------------- Alternate explanation - it is actually a tribal ritual. the stick signifies that ur organ is as large and as powerful and thick and strong. The leaves at the end of the stick show that even in ur 50's, u can still be fertile and capable of productive insemination / insertion / procreation [11:36 PM, 4/7/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: pl google online - it is also called cassia fistula, which means that it is capable of causing u fistula, ie, it enters thru ur anus. so my 2nd alternate explanation is bang on [8:32 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: raama - bit of history here da - the house was rented for 10 yrs by a mormom family from kerala - US-returned, husband was president of computer science corporation (CSC). they had 11 children, all of whom were home-schooled in that same house. we heard some vague stories around their tenancy - and the wife died during birth of 12th child - the full family then moved to hennur road somewhere, and house has been vacant for 2 years thereafter. if u want more details - pl call me [8:34 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: i forgot his name - else i wud have given u all links of their personal website, CSC website - he was a harvard passout etc - the mormon church also condoled her death etc etc [8:36 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: my grandmom had 14 births - 9 live and 5 stillborn - all 9 siblings still alive, and my grandmom lived to 79 [8:38 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: my paternal grandmom had gopal, t n narayanan, kitti, gauri, chakku. grandad died when she was just 29, so she cud not go beyond 5 children. tnnarayanan was my father - and all of them now dead except gauri [8:42 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: sampa(77), prema(75), guru, murali, viji, raghu, latha, venu, cheenu (now 55) are the 9 products of my grand-father grandmom unions. all 9 are alive as of now. so maternal grand-dad did his union-tasks over 23 years - ie 1942 to 1964 [8:42 PM, 4/23/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: sorry-not saying more - harisa will scold why talk about naughty grandparents - personal matter etc etc [4:42 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: pl look at this - https://www.acknowledgements.net/words-of-sympathy/ My sincere sympathy, Our warmest condolences, With heartfelt condolences, Please accept my condolences, [4:45 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: just because trump messed up its usage, it does NOT means it is not accepted - i remember that my father had used it in a telegram, and my grandfather have used this as well. so trust that's the end [9:48 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Lets have a calm debate on terra firma soon. I really want to convince u guys abt him. Meanwhile raama can continue to use any language against him. Does not matter [9:51 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: I love seeman with all my heart and mind too. He is one of the clearest intelligent articulate wellread passionate politicians out there. Is he shrewd? No [9:54 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: I will just give u a few examples of his prognosis and predictions which all came true, not based on shrewdness but rather based on deep understanding of thecurrent crop of politicians [9:55 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: I said he is not shrewd, but that is bcos he CHOOSES not to be shrewd and pander to all and sundry. He just follows his heart [10:03 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Meanwhile wud be great if u cud listen to him more, if only to prepare ammunition against me [11:04 PM, 4/24/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: V patchy signal and train noise. Cud make out seeman talking against krishna. He's a rationalist so whats wrong? Can u refute what he says, pl? If the scriptures hv written it that way, question THAT then, not seeman [8:45 AM, 4/25/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: When u need to pass and ur book1 has 85% weightage, will u keep studying that, or spend ur energy on book2 or 3( total 15% weightage) [8:47 AM, 4/25/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Especially if book2 is difficult differentiation and book3 is integration [12:57 PM, 4/25/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Who is hc? sats back to bengaluru professionals 5-6 times my income
[7:09 PM, 4/27/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: guys, 1. after i came back to blr, i noticed that you have posted some 2-3 videos of seeman with loads of loads of abuses against him (as usual from raama and sundar) in message after message. 2. i can understand if your arguments are logical, draw reference to direct seeman speeches, and are irrefutable as evidence. but i just cannot understand how you (being such intelligent professionals earning 5-6 times my income) can blindly refer to memes and voice-overs and submit them as "EVIDENCE" ? dont u think that u guys need to do a small bit of due diligence ? dont u think that the only "irrefutable" piece is what i hear and see seeman speak, rather than memes and rather than some voice-overs ? So, i took the first video on krishna : what i immediately did was to remove the voice-overs and the memes listed therein. if u do that, there are only 2 extracts of videos - one where he abuses the north indian lord krishna, and the other where he praises maayon. repeat - i have not even "looked" at the memes ? or do u feel i am so dumb to even look at some arbitrary images posted from nowhere ???? 3. Extract 1 : seeman speaks ill of krishna, as an eve-teaser, as a gopikas-harraser etc. the internet shows millions of sites which refer to this, but for a moment forget the same. i dont know about you guys, but i have been brought up in my household where my elders told me about krishna's leelaigal in the same way. i learnt many songs like aayarpaadi and pullangal and "krishna vaada" where all these are refered to ( though in a playful way). every piece of film material i have come across also talk about krishna this way ("theeratha vilayaatu pillai"). now, if finally someone has the balls to call it out, all you guys do is to deride him ! remember, what was acceptable many centuries / generations ago, is no longer so. even 30 years back, my aunts were told to mildly and meekly hurry back from bus to home, and not utter a word against eve-teasers. today parents tell their girl children to turn back, fight, formally complain to police, and what not. so, calling krishna as a horrible eve-teasing arse-hole (sorry for the language) is just calling a spade a spade. repeat - forget about the evidence and scriptures and references online. pl tell me if any one of you have been brought up without tales of krishna's eve-teasing ? even if the elders have talked about it being "mild" and "playful" (obviously they have diluted things), is it still acceptable in today's world ??? 4 Extract 2 : Seeman speaks about "Maayon". pl guys - i am sure sundy/raama have the intelligence to do a research of who maayon is. infact, it has always been my problem with raama - he just forwards peripheral stuff. i dont blame him - he has an 80L job. But sadly, unless u are dravida thamizhs urself, u would not know - u wud simply relate the term to mean krishna and "aayars" as krishna's men. if u have the balls, do up a study on "maayon". he is a thamizh dravidian god (predating the north indian aryan concept of krishna) which over time, somehow conveniently got cagtegorised and frameworked and merged into krishna. "aayars" are sheperds, not krishna's sheperds, darlings. for example - i was horrified when i learnt 10 years back that murugan is the ELDER BROTHER of ganesh and not otherwise, according to north indians. So was i when i understoos 5 years back that maayon and krishna ARE NOT ONE AND THE SAME. -------------------------- am sorry, i have no time to start dissecting one video after another and AM NOT GOING TO SEE YOUR OTHER VIDEOS. I have 2 daughters at home and i am NOT going to bring them up saying - "its ok to receive playful eve-teasing some times !" Like in the Hindi movie Pink, a No means a "NO". Today. ----------- Inspite of my being mentally consumed with my job problems, i would have still wanted to analyse your problems against seeman, but i realise that each one of you is a hollow echo of the other, and u just keep forwarding videos without doing deep research and study (INSPITE OF MY CLEARLY ASKING FOR THIS). and i dont blame u guys - you have 60-70 L jobs which affords u v.less time. However, I also dont need to waste my time on such hollow messages, which are more "beliefs" and "emotions" and "indignations". --------------- So feel free to rebutt. because each of your rebuttals will be without substance / logic / reference (not peripheral - deep and contextual) , and rather be only "hava" and "emotions". So, i will tend to ignore them, please. [12:52 AM, 4/29/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: 1. i am travelling to dubai from 26 sept 2019 to 24 oct 2019, ie 28 days in all. 2. rationale - the very hot season will just slightly (only slightly) ease off - so the 40 degree heat in oct will still be manageable for me as a ex-chennai-ite 3. i also need atleast that much time to figure out what the options in mumbai/delhi are for me. i envisage some effort on trying to obtain some clarity about elakshya by july-end. based on the same, aug 1 i start my job search and as u guys might know, i am leaving for mumbai on aug 19. will stay there for 15-20 days (based on need) and gather sufficient depth on the market there and my prospects, so back to blr, and then leave on sept 26 to dubai ! 3. besides, the easiest thing to obtain is a 30-day visa, so i am restricting my stay in dubai to the 28-day period. 4. i had met abdurahman in kozhikode when i visited last week. i am confident that he will provide sufficient contacts / acquaintances / breaks out there. i also spoke to both harish and sundar today evening, and they have promised all possible support. harish shared good inputs regarding his own 20-year old dubai seach (with the help of swami, ganesh etc) 5. if by chance i still decide to continue with elakshya efforts prior to my visit, the dubai trip can still be undertaken with a "business" view and outlook, rather than a "job-search" objective. this is because AKK has been talking about several possible business opportunities and ideas, and i am still not completely moved out of my "startup" mode, honestly. 6. i have booked by oman air and spicejet (blore-dubai and return). extremely cheap fares, as u guys know that i am capable to extracting the final pound of flesh from internet bookings. got an unbelievable Rs 15400/- nett approx for the round trip (including all taxes, airport levies, convenience fees, EVERYTHING). 7. i have booked my stay in a fantastic budget accomodation - giving me a separate small room. Total 30,200 inclusive of all, for a 28-day stay 8. since the 30-day visa has to be applied only max of 60 days prior to the travel date, i will do it later. dubai visa costs Rs 6.8K from musafir, and this is the best option for any non-emirates traveller. if anyone knows a cheaper option, pl let me know. 9. for dubai visa eligibility, i dont qualify the income criteria (which is Rs 2 L/annum), since i dont file ITR. so the only alternative is the "travel" criteria. thankfully, i visited a "shenzen" county in the last 5 years, ie to italy in may 2015. that will hopefully pull me thru safely wrt a dubai visa. ---------------------- So i am all set to travel to dubai. need your continued blessings - any comments / words of advice, either now and/or during the course of the next few months in preparation, always welcome ps : have taken full explicit concurrence of my family members AND my mom. incase i do manage to land a job in dubai and hence relocate, i will make already-pre-discussed arrangements, for keeping both entities comfortable (to the best extent possible). [7:23 AM, 4/29/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Thanks da raama. A lot. "Just in case u want to explore"- sir, i am going there to explore and not to lay ukranian chicks, so yes sir, any help/ref from any end is most most welcome!!! [7:31 AM, 4/29/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Sure da machan. Will open my gate on aug 1, after 3 more months of vetti. I am hoping that the 3 months turn into productive business effort in a particular direction rather than self pitying youtube sessions and aimless browsing( which is what i hv been doing all these years here). But any help from any end - will grab with all my hands. Especially coming from a weight corporate honcho. Infact, at that time i will also ask u to write to cairo(as a dairy technologist myself). Raama-also need some advice on mumbai, places to stay, expected expenses etc, so will meet u sometime on this. Thanks again vaadhyaare [7:38 AM, 4/29/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: As i said, raama. Aug 1 and not prior. Akk is still looking a working out a viable, exciting and suitable business opp for me. Incase that looks appealing( doesnt need to click or bring revenue, it just needs to involve and pull me out of my vetti), then i shall keep the gate closed. In which case no need for consultant connections. So hang on there raaama, and thanks in advance [8:04 AM, 4/29/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: As an added incentive for u guys( esp raama who loves juice), i will pen my interesting experiences during my job search starting aug1. Cud be entertaining, if not informative. It is not often that u see a 47-year old venture into a job search after 12 full years as a homemaker, right? So it wud also be a treatise into psychology of recruiting humans, mindsets, notions, biases etc. Shud make great reading, guys [7:14 AM, 4/30/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Have sent u the full project proposal for EG(evergreen). Pl read it in depth when free [2:10 PM, 4/30/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Need ur direction 1. Tell them i will not take up EG in any way. Then continue to look for some business ideas till july 31. Leave for mumbai/dubai soon thereafter 2. Take up EG on a mild basis-maybe 2-3 days a fortnite. Decide on july31 if i like it, if it is scaleable, and then plunge headlong 3. Go for it with full enthu asap, and see how things turn out, since mumbai and delhi are still there as agenda What shud i do? Besides, there is a thin line between 2 and 3 My heart says 2, but whats ur take? [12:17 AM, 5/1/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Message below sent to a few of my uncles - also for your reference - --------------- gud evening venu maama, trust all good at ur end. small development at my end, which i wanted to update u - 1. when i left my career in 2008, the initial plan was to try for a few years (5-6 yrs), and then again look for job. this plan has been keeping postponed, first due to amma illness, then niharika 10th/11th/12th studies, and also due to my own confusion. now that niharika is finishing her 12th std, there is less pressure family-wise, and i have decided (almost, unless any miracle), to find a job for myself (at age 46, and after a 11-year break !). 2. As of now i am now in middle of some work at blr till july. so from aug 1st week, will start my job search - most probably mumbai/delhi. 3. but to also exhaust other possible options, i have decided to try in middle-east also. so i have planned to be in dubai from 26 sept to 24 oct 2019. i have made all air bookings / hotel accomodation at karama / etc etc. since i am coming with some mental constraints, would also prefer to be in hotel. of course i will come and meet you many times during course of my stay, but wanted to inform u about my travel plan before-hand, so that u dont hear from somebody else and that u dont mistake me. thanks for ur understanding. i had met raghu maama in chennai 2 weeks back and informed him of my decision, and now am informing u. 4. regarding amma : Now, it might take upto 9 months (by march 2020, when niharika also leaves blr for higher studies) to get an average job in india (60% chance), or in middle-east (10% chance) or unable to get reasonable job (20-30% chance) - i am just being honest in my estimation. So, if either no job or India job, then no problem ! will keep amma with me with me wherever i am. but if middle-east job, then will have to look for some arrangement for amma here in blr/chennai. will take decisions IF and WHEN such a situation arises. just wanted to let u know. ---------------- Gud nite, and my warmest regards to lakshmi aunty. take care of health. i will also speak to you sometime, maama.

Tried entrepreneurship for 3 yrs, and the next 9 were involved in a large ancestral property litigation, a few marketing/management consulting projects, IT and ERP implementation and most recently, with a greenfield school setup. I did pick a lot of IT skills during these years, but more importantly, served as a homemaker for my daughters. Since they are about to leave for college now, i wanted to try to rejoin a corporate job with no location constraint. I intend to visit Mumbai and Dubai for long stretches in the upcoming days. Apologies for not being in touch all these years, trust all good at ur end. Pl ping back if u deem fit. I shall be happy to call and meet you in person. [8:48 PM, 5/9/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Raama - i agree that i need to have many templates (based on the recipient), but my story is the same, so really dont know what variations to bring in - i have made another template for u, but content matter remains - ------------------ Hi XXX, this is sathish. Am connecting with you after almost a decade, so thought it is best to first message in. I left BSLI-Mumbai end-2007 to make way for my wife's career (she's now Senior Director at Intel). Since then, i have been an on-and-off homemaker, handling property litigations, 2 cancers in the family, and also founding a startup which failed. Am only too aware that the 11-year work gap and my age of 46 are huge constraints, but i have picked up many technology skills in the interim, and some general-management perspective as well. Currently i am involved with managing a small group of schools in North Kerala. With my daughters about to leave for college, I am keen to explore "corporate" career options, location no constraint. I will also be happy to engage in a conversation on technology and how it is changing our industry now. Wud be great if i could set up a time to meet since i am traveling to Mumbai for a long stretch. Hope it would be ok if i call you sometime. Take care. ------------------ since u guys know my story anyway, wud be very helpful if raama (or any others) leave his seemanism behind for 2 mins and suggest any other points which i can include in my template [8:52 PM, 5/9/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: See this - same thing, little reformatted - ----------------- Hi XXX, this is sathish. My rate will be fairly reasonable, and only commensurate with my effort. Of course i will take a bonus when task is done c. for soverign unnathi and dreams gk, things are more difficult. u need to give me proposal on how i can contribute d. for ur north bengaluru land, i can build a wall if u want - and also look up the place 2. discussion on marriage a. 45-46 is still not a "too late" case - am glad to know that u are now ok with widow with emcumbrance as well b. example of ramsub who married at 49/50 - see how happy he is c. example of venkat - u can co-live without getting married as well - not sure if the mexican co-worker is the right candidate for that, but u can certainly pick one d. these things might (just might) be easier in india, so explore options of returning, also in view of dad's bad heath 3. disc on family anything on emergency basis which is required from my side for dad's health issues etc - pl ping me ----------------------- "moga, u are a gem who has helped in my past, giving me hand loans etc whenever i wanted. i also have lot of affection towards priya who worked with me at bsli. so i am always there for ur family (to some extent)

Sundar told us abt ur daughter's stupendous performance, and we were very happy for u guys. Have been wanting to come and meet prakash and family for quite sometime now. Can i call u sometime today? Any convenient time? [11:06 AM, 5/28/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: I just had a long call with sujanitha prakash (fidelity, wife of prakash) - "congratulations about her daughter performance, about prakash health etc". vandana prakash, the 1st daughter, has stood topper no 2 at notre dame academy in her 10th (also topped in several individual subjects), inspite of a challenging environment at home. prakash is sundar's cousin (engg from anna univ)(he was a good friend while i was at hrbr ; he also came for our wedding), who, while he was with TCS, USA, started getting afflicted with multiple sclerosis. if u recall, same as vidya balan in "guru". They quickly moved back to India, and TCS continues to retain him. This happened about 15 years back, and over the 3-4 occasions that i have met him over the years, there has been noticeable degeneration in his health, and arguably, it only gets worse with time. wikipedia says this - "The average life expectancy is 30 years from the start of the disease". I have been wanting to visit him and family over a long time now, and i thought it was a good occasion now, especially to felicitate the child. So she confirmed that they are absolutely free and we are welcome, so have taken 10am on Saturday. They live in SunCity apts (concrete jungle at Sarjapur road). Harish will also be coming in.
sujanitha prakash jee quotas
[9:23 AM, 1/18/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: jee mains - The results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Main) exam will be released on January 31, as per the schedule released by the National Testing Agency. After the answer key was released on January 14, the students are quite anxious to know about the cut-off of this year. The experts, after analysing the difficulty level of the JEE Main paper, predicted that the cut-off of this year will be around 90 for the general category, while the cut-off for the reserve category will vary from 45 to 70. “The question papers of all the sessions of this year was moderate. The mathematics was difficult in every session, with physics and chemistry, the easiest. The cut-off for the general category will vary from 85 to 90. The cut-off for the OBC will vary from 45 to 70, 40-70 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and PwD,” a professor from the engineering department, Jadavpur University told indianexpress.com. General category: 85-90 OBC: 45-70 SC, ST, PwD: 40-70 “The question paper of this year was quite thoughtful and judgmental. The cut-off for the general category may vary from 80 to 90, while for the reserve category (OBC, SC, ST, PwD), the cut-off may vary from 40 to 75,” said another professor from Engineering Department, Jadavpur University. “The students’ performance in best of the two sessions (January and April 2019) will be taken into consideration before declaring the final cut-off. However, based on the January session of JEE Main 2019 held between January 9 to 12, the cut-off is expected around 100 marks,” said Ramesh Batlish, FIITJEE. “The expected cut-off of JEE Main 2019 January may range from 80-85 marks. It is expected that a score of 130 can fetch a rank of 30000 in all India category while a score of 150 can fetch a rank around 20000 in all India category,” said Navin C Joshi, Academic head and VP (JEE and NEET) at Gradeup. The cut-off for students in JEE Main 2019 to qualify for JEE Advanced 2019 will be released after the April session. When the shadows broke, I'm someone you did not wish to acknowledge, but in the silence, left you to you, we spoke. I listened, rapt, to you repenting your actions through today- those actions in which I somehow went unnoticed, it seems that among others,I no longer have the last say. Yes,prey, this is me, your conscience. It seemed as though you forgot. Among those suppressions of everyday, the relation between you and you, is now stretched taught. Make ammends, settle differences. Darn the connect. Pull back your reigns for its rightful holder, if not,to influence, you will go unchecked. For today ,you are not yours, simply a doll subjected to society's flaws. old wound healed new tumour dog chained snowy
[5:21 PM, 3/11/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: venkatesh called - the old wound has got healed, but the new tumour has got bit bigger. it still has not fallen or made any hole (like last time), he has purchased the new spray and is putting it, but if in case it falls off and makes a hole, i will need to go and get it surgically treated. otherwise, let us hope that it does not fall off. again told venkatesh to keep the dog chained only - so that it gets used to chaining we are going to jain farms on 30th march morning (saturday), take the dog - and go straight to the vet. based on his advise, will again either do local surgery or medication - then we get snowy to gopalan - rajani - pl note this date of snowy arrival at gopalan - we need to do logistics on few things - where it will stay, how to handle its poop, whether we need to vaccinate ourselves towards its stay, buying of dogfood etc i will ask the association about any rules wrt the dog and keep them informed. anything else - pl inform ps - i will also buy the 2 HP motor and keep it ready and hand over to venkatesh. i enquired on phone - it costs 2.4 K in blore as well [7:05 PM, 3/11/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: nixxanna - i had sent a message to lakshmi ma'm and she has responded. i asked her to take care of ur chemistry and other subjects also ! ---------------------------- I am positive Niharika will do a great job this year with her sincere n focussed approach .I hope my students remember me for good reasons. [5:35 PM, 3/13/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: Imp work about children n1 jee prep - school till april 5 and reopen on may 29 or so. she is probably going for 5-day vacation with friends to hill-station (normally done in school for 12th entrants). rest of time divide between aakash and vedantu and studies n2 coaching- spoke to n2 at length today gave her 2 examples - harish son (who is entering 9th) is starting his coaching april 15th from centum (who are coming to school - 2 times or 3 times a week) akshat - (entering 8th) - is starting coaching this april itself n2 says that shobita and few other also starting now itself n2 is clear that she wants to start coaching only in april 2020 (and not now). i also fully agree with her - but final decision with rajani n2 summer camp - we have been missing this every year, so can rajani finalise this asap ? i have no problem doing all the work and sending links, talking to the camp organisers, going and meeting them - ie i can do any legwork etc. but rajani needs to please IDENTIFY the company and the program itself (if possible) - i will then coordinate with them and close the loops n2 karate wayanad - daniel sir confirms that either 30/31 march or 6/7 april we will do this - he will tell tomrrow. rajani can decide if she and n1 want to come in or not, based on which i will make the hotel bookings. i also called yudhir (megna father) and told him that we can take care of meghna if they want (to remind rajani - we owe them one, since he took care of n2 when we had gone to munnar). so i will anyway travel only by car this time [11:49 AM, 3/18/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: spoke to venkatest at length about snowy - she is tied as usual - the old wound is healing quite fast - new tumour has not increased in size so far and is not in danger of falling off because she is tied up all day. She needs to attend the orientation on 23rd march (645 to 815) at apollo aakash, and classes start from the next day itself, ie 24th march sunday. venue for class will be told by them. so rajani to note - for packing lunch and giving to n1. also i discussed about jee main results. as per lavanya, their acad coordinator - result for the jan 2019 jee mains is as follows (this is only for the indiranagar center, across all batches). 8 have got 99th percentile (expected rank at 3000-5000), 36 have got 90th percentile and above (95000 rank and better), and 112 students above 70th percentile (which is cutoff for writing jee advanced, ie at rank 2.5 lakhs or so). for your info, total no of students across all the 4 batches is 150 now - and will drop to 140 when batch actually starts. which means that 112 out of 140 from aakash indiranagar have qualified for jee advanced. n1 can also verify independently about this, when she goes to aakash. [6:33 PM, 3/20/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: n1 performance in 2nd semester unit test - 384/500 ie 77% approx. has scored great in english, and good in maths. but chem and physics are just ok - and she needs to do better. mam has also mentioned that chem needs to improve. waiting for them to upload "2nd sem exam" results - will send once i get [4:40 PM, 3/22/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: IIsc bangalore has an "open day" tomorrow - with lectures, demos etc. feel it would be a good exposure for both n1 and n2. not sure about n2 bcos of her exams, but would n1 want to go? also rajani may also be interested bcos of the tech studies for intel ?

[6:06 PM, 5/17/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: nixxa - look at this reference - 1330 is a great score ! ---------------- What colleges can I get into with a SAT score of 1330? Important: If you took the SAT prior to March 2016, your test was scored on the old 2400 point scale. All SAT scores on this site have been updated to reflect the SAT 1600 point scale per the College Board's concordance tables. With a 1330 on the SAT, these are the colleges you should have a chance to get into. CollegeSimply analyzed the most recent published freshman class SAT scores for all U.S. colleges and found 838 schools where a 1330 places you within or slightly outside the middle fifty percent of admitted students. The colleges are ranked by their position on our best colleges ranking and thus represent the better schools you may be able to get into and those which have historically accepted a 1330. Is a 1330 on the SAT a good score? Yes, it's very good. It places you in the top 90th percentile nationally out of the 1.7 million students taking the SAT this year. For comparison purposes, a 1330 on the SAT converts to a 29 on the ACT based on the College Board / ACT concordance. [4:21 PM, 5/28/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: n1 and n2 - pl note this schedule of mine till dec 2019 - i had already told amma about this - but u guys also need to know - pl be prepared for my absence from blr - there are 210 days from june 1 to dec 31. i am away for 108 out of these 210 days ( i have added fully and calculated) ------------------------- pl note my schedule/ logistics - very important so that u can be prepared in advance. i can also make changes in this plan if there is a real necessity, but i need to do it right now June 2019 hi - myself, my mom and n2 are leaving for namakka on 4th june early morning by vehicle. it is about 4.5 hours from here by drive. since need to hand over a saree to the aachar by 930, we will leave here by 430 after bath, so that we comfortably reach there. We will take rest the whole day there at the hotel. the next day morning is the puja, after which i will drop my mom/n2 at erode railway station. Their train back to blr has been booked for 2 pm (reaches here by 730 pm) i will proceed to kozhikode (it is about 7 hours by road from there). repeat - i am not coming back to blr. the school reopens on 10th june, so 4 days prior to open and 6 days after open, is what i want to do. So will leave vadakara on 16th night and be back. So i am gone for 10-11 days - pl plan accordingly On 23 june, i need to go to chennai for just 1 day to meet with the Australia friends. July 2019 Similarly i will choose 10 days min -13 days max at vadakara, based on your registration and other house renovation work that u may have. Similar continuous block of 10-13 days in july Aug 2019 I am starting my sincere connection + job hunt on Aug 1. However, i would need to go to vadakara for 4-5 days max. So between 1 and 18 Aug, will choose this 4 day block Aug 19 : leaving for Mumbai Sept 2019 Back from Mumbai on Sept 6. Between Sept 6 and Sept 26, will choose 4-day block for going to Vadakara Sept 26 - leaving for Dubai Oct 2019 Back from Dubai on Oct 26, so no Kerala trip during this month Nov 2019 If by this time there is any hope of formal job, or work from my side in this regard, i will sit in blr ( or maybe go to mumbai for a few days for any 2nd round of discussions (?) or so. Otherwise, will go to Vadakara for 7-10 days in Nov. Nov 26 2019 : leaving for Delhi Dec 2019 Dec 6 2019 : back from Delhi By end of Dec, i hope i will have some clarity wrt my situation / job hunt / responses / hopes etc. So as of now, planning to stay in blr for rest of month to continue with my correspondences, phone calls, mails etc. [12:06 AM, 6/1/2019] Sathish Es22 Cambridge Rd: chilpu - i read all the details about the book. after careful analysis pl find my recommendation : it is not suitable for ur age. akka's age it is ok. but surely not for a 12-year old. wud request u to return to ur friend. hope u dont mind, thanks da bangaara

akbar birbal story disguise brahmin
Akbar & Birbal. ------------------------- Once Akbar & Birbal went around the city in disguise. They came upon a Brahmin who went begging from door to door. Akbar said to Birbal " look ! This is what you Brahmins are.. you know only begging going around here & there. I belong to royal dynasty & You... .. belong to begging dynasty. " . Later, Birbal met the brahmin & asked, " sir ! How much do you earn by begging? " The brahmin replied " I get something equal to one silver coin " Birbal - " Ok! Then from tomorrow onwards come to my house. I will give one silver coin , on 2 conditions ! One , you should not beg any more on any account. Secondly, you should recite Gayatri 1008 daily without fail. The brahmin agreed & from next day onwards the brahmin recited Gayatri & then, later in the evening came to collect one silver coin from Birbal. Like this, 3 months passed away. Later, the brahmin didn't come to Birbal, & Birbal too forgot about these. Once again Akbar & Birbal went around the capital in disguise. At one place a huge crowd was thronging. It looked they were waiting in line to have darshan of mahatma. Whoever gets the blessings of this mahatma is really very fortunate & whoever doesn't get blessings is really very unfortunate. Somebody was saying even Akbar should meet this mahatma in order to rule the kingdom well. Hearing all these talks Akbar felt the urge to meet the mahatma & ushered Birbal to go with him to meet the mahatma. Akbar went in & did namaskar. As he stood there in front of mahatma, he felt great peace enveloping him & didn't feel like coming out . Akbar said to Birbal " Did you notice the divine aura & light in his face ? This mahatma can remove every distress & is worthy of salutation. " movingly. Birbal - oh king! Whom do you think this mahatma is ? " Akbar looked at Birbal questioningly. Birbal said calmly " this mahatma is none other than that brahmin beggar. " When Akbar looked surprised, Birbal added " this is the MAHIMA/ GREATNESS OF GAYATRI MANTRA. JUST IN 3 MONTHS IT MADE EVEN THE KING KNEEL & BOW BEFORE A BEGGAR." Sandhyavandanam is just a bowl where Gayatri is kept to be opened carefully to be recited & then closed. We are all living well bcos of our forefathers were chanting. The difference between us & others is only is remembering Gayatri. Mother Gayatri will never fail us in any circumstance & activities.
