Before using the extension, on the Progress tab of the Options, select your English level or enter a custom number of your vocabulary size.
Thus the extension will know approximately up to which rank you know words, and won't highlight them.
2. To use the extension, open an article and click "Highlight Words" on the extension's icon.
Or click "Highlight Words" from the context menu to do the same.
Doing this will highlight the unknown words in red. And, with each next use, you will also see learning words highlighted in yellow.
3. When you hover over a red word, 2 icons are active - left and middle.
If you already know the word, click the green icon on the left (Know). Word's color will change to the default of the site.
If it's a new word learn it and then click on the middle yellow icon (Learned). Word's color will turn yellow.
4. When you hover over a yellow word, 2 icons are active - middle and right.
If you remember what the word means, click on the middle yellow icon (Retrieved). Word's color will stay yellow if you need to retrieve it more times, or change to the default of the site if it was ტჰე final necessary retrieval.
After remembering a learned (yellow) word on 7 different occasions, the word is considered as known (stored in the long-term memory).
If you see a grey sand clock in the middle, it's because the time interval between retrievals has not passed yet.
If you can't remember the meaning of the word, click the right red icon (Forgot). Word's color will turn red.
The retrieval counter goes back to 0; you will have to go up 7 retrievals from the beginning. Relearn the word and click the middle yellow icon
