Background
Our system and chatbot are primarily focused on students in Computer Information Systems--we would like to help ease the (CIS) students into their major without the hassle of asking advisors (FAQ). We do this to help both the advisor and student skip information found on (BMCC)'s website.
We know and understand that this major is tough and one needs to be driven to learn, grow, and gain well-needed experience for their future field, club/ hobby, and to enter the correct class and courses. Our chatbot will use (BMCC) knowledge to help students get all that they need.
Impact
Even though our impact is specifically for (CIS) students, we hope to eventually develop our system for all student and staff usage; we would like our chatbot to be used and accessed by all 27,000+ students in (BMCC), as well as (BMCC) staff; in order to updated needed information.
