What it does:
Our chatbot uses hyperlinks and (BMCC) staff knowledge to guide students in the (CIS) field. (BMCC) staff update and change various hyperlinks, every so often, to help keep protocol and school policy in check. Our chatbot will show (CIS) students all the correct information they need, and answer all questions based on the most frequently asked questions (FAQ).
Its purpose:
We created this chatbot to help (CIS) students without the need of an advisor; if (BMCC) has provided the knowledge on their website then this chatbot will also have that knowledge.
Whether the student is a transferer, freshmen, adult learner, or anything in between, we want to help them settle in their field (CIS) and achieve all that is needed of them. We want to do this to help students gain required credits, gain knowledge, and graduate (BMCC) early; if possible.
Its commands:
The chatbot commands are based on (FAQ) in advisement. Our chatbot will mimic advising without the wait time, meaning answers are given in less than a minute and the student finds what they need with no wait time, no confusion, and no issue.
We, of course, still recommend speaking to one's advisor whenever possible for clarification and specific student detailing or need. We also show students, how easy it is to navigate our chatbot and find desired hyperlinks.
We are (BMCC) students as well as alumni, and we know how difficult it can be in college; mentally, psychically, and emotionally. This is why we have a chatbot, to ease any issue a student may be having. This chatbot is created for us by us.
