Meals

Students staying in Princes Gardens accommodation will have breakfast, coffee breaks, lunch, dinner provided and will be able to attend the welcome reception and Banquet.

Students not staying in Princes Gardens accommodation will have coffee breaks and lunch provided and will be able to attend the welcome reception and Banquet. They will not receive breakfast or dinner on other days unless otherwise informed.

Welcome Reception

All participants are invited to attend the informal drinks reception which will take place between 6pm and 8pm on Sunday August 28th, in the Level 8 Common Room of the Blackett Laboratory. Drinks (wine/beer/juice) and snacks will be provided, this will not be a meal. Participants should enter at the main entrance of Blackett on Prince Consort Road where a student helper should be there to let you in between 5-45 and 6-45. Walk through the concourse, and take the lift (elevator) to the 8th floor. The common room will be on your left as you exit the lift.

Breakfast

For those staying in Prince's Gardens Accommodation, Breakfast will be provided from Monday 29th to Friday 9th inclusive in the SCR (Senior Common Room) in Sherfield Building whose location can be seen on the campus map. You should be able to access the SCR via the Dangoor plaza. Detailed instructions are given here. If there are any issues accessing email busstepp2022@gmail.com. Breakfast times will be between 7am and 10am, however they will be expecting the bulk of us between 8 and 8-30am. Once you have finished breakfast, walk down the Sherfield Walkway towards the Huxley building. Enter the Huxley building and go right and follow the signs around to enter Blackett. Coffee Breaks

Coffee+Tea+Biscuit breaks are provided each day of the school (Monday 29th through Friday 9th, except Sunday 4th) between 10:00 - 10:30 and 14:30 - 15:00 in the level 2 concourse of the Blackett Laboratory. Vegan/Oat Milk will be provided in addition to dairy milk.

Lunch

Lunch will be provided to all participants (Monday 29th through Friday 9th, except Sunday 4th) and will be an informal packed lunch (Sandwich, Still Water, Crisps and Fruit). It will be provided in the Blackett concourse level 2 in the same location as the coffee breaks. Those with dietary restrictions should have distinct packed lunches with their names on. Since the weather is good, a nice place to sit outside for lunch is the Dangoor Plaza which is the central quad where the Queen's Tower is (see campus map) or Prince's Gardens which is part of Imperial and so you are allowed to sit on the grass there.

Dinner

For those staying in Prince's Gardens Accommodation, Dinner will be provided from Monday 29th to Wednesday 7th inclusive at 7 pm in the SCR (Senior Common Room) in Sherfield Building whose location can be seen on the campus map, see detailed instructions here. Dinner will be cafeteria style with a choice of two main courses (one vegetarian), selection of vegetables or salads, dessert or fresh fruit, bread rolls and orange juice. Guests are to clear their own trays onto racks.

Banquet

On the evening of Thursday 8th September, between 7-30pm and 9pm, all participants are invited to attend the summer school banquet which will take place in the Queens Tower Rooms which can be located in the downstairs of the Sherfield building directly below the SCR as seen in the campus map. The dinner will be a 2 Course Fork Buffet with drinks provided (wine, beer, cider, juice). To get to the Queens Tower Rooms, follow the instruction here to get to Shefield entrance but rather than going up the stairs as you enter the double doors, go to your right and you will see the entrance to Queens Tower Rooms.

Sunday 4th September

Please note that no lunch or dinner will be provided on Sunday 4th September (breakfast will be for those in Princes Gardens). There will be no school on this day and you are encouraged to explore London!
