Nicotine Campaign

Here are some ways that we have represented the youth of Burke County:

This is us preparing to meet with parents, teachers and school officials in Buncombe County regarding the effects of vaping in the school community. We were asked to share our research, experience and our age-related knowledge seen through our eyes.

In April of 2019, Gillian Freeze offered a workshop titled "Fire in the Wire" about Nicotine addiction at the Watauga State of the Child event.

Here we are presenting the information at the vaping seminar for a collection of schools in Asheville in May of 2019.

We also made a Kahoot to use at our school during lunch.

Our vaping psa skit

As a project at Draughn High School, we came up with the idea to create a fun sketch comparing the chemicals in vapes to aerosol cans.

2018 Partnership with Local Cinema

Another one of our ideas was to create a banner describing the benefits of not using nicotine through a banner using positive messaging. We chose to use FREEDOM as an acronym describing,

Financial stability

Respect

Environmental Cleanliness

Energy

Desirability

Optimism

Meaningfulness

We also chose to have a "Cinema" theme that would later be incorporated in the Morganton movie theater. The film "FREEDOM" is brought to you by NO NICOTINE PRODUCTIONS.
