TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. This competition is open to participants worldwide.
   
   Participation is divided into two (2) categories, and the applicable fee is charged per submission (all fees are quoted per submission, not per individual). Participants must register under the correct category based on their current academic status at the time of registration. The Organizer reserves the right to verify eligibility and reassign categories if necessary. Participation is divided into two (2) categories:

• Higher Education Institution (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) Students (Local) RM70 (Malaysian) 

• Higher Education Institution (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) Students (International) USD25 (International)

2. Entries may be submitted INDIVIDUALLY OR IN TEAMS OF UP TO THREE (3) to FIVE (5) MEMBERS. All team members must BELONG TO THE SAME CATEGORY. Each entry may include one (1) accompanying advisor, or supervisor. The advisor’s name, if provided, will be included in the certificate.

3. All registrations must be completed through the official (BUILDX GIC 2026) online system. Participants are required to provide accurate and complete information during registration. Any false, misleading, or incomplete information may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Organizer.

4. Participation fees must be paid according to the selected category, and proof of payment must be uploaded as instructed. All fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, except under circumstances determined solely by the Organizer. Participants are responsible for ensuring that payment is successfully completed.

5. Only submissions in English will be accepted and evaluated.

6. All participants must submit a video presentation link (uploaded to YouTube with “Unlisted” settings), with a maximum duration of 5 minutes, by 31 July 2026 (11:59 PM, Malaysia Time, MYT, GMT+8). Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

7. All submissions must be original work created by the participant(s) and must not infringe upon any intellectual property rights, including copyrights, patents, or trademarks. Submissions must not have been previously commercialized, published in journals, or publicly distributed. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify any entry suspected of plagiarism, duplication, or misconduct. Participants retain ownership of their work; however, by submitting, they grant the Organizer the right to use, display, and promote the submissions for non-commercial purposes with appropriate credit.

8. All submissions must adhere to appropriate content standards and must not contain any offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate material. Content related to sensitive issues, including but not limited to race, religion, politics, or individuals, is strictly prohibited. The Organizer reserves the right to reject any submission deemed unsuitable.

9. All entries will be evaluated by appointed judges based on predetermined criteria. The decision of the judges is final, binding, and not subject to appeal or dispute.

10. All eligible and completed submissions will receive a digital participation certificate. Awards, including Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, will be granted based on the evaluation results. All certificates will be issued in digital format only.

11. The competition will commence on 15 July 2026, with registration closing on 31 July 2026, and results to be announced on 15 September 2026 (subject to change). The Organizer reserves the right to amend the timeline if necessary.

12. The Organizer shall not be liable for any technical issues, internet disruptions, submission errors, or loss of data encountered during participation. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their submissions comply with all requirements.

13. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the competition constitutes acceptance of the latest version of the Terms and Conditions.

14. Participants may submit more than one idea entry; however, each submission must be registered and paid for separately in accordance with the stated procedures.

15. Please note that official payment receipts will be issued upon request and may be requested within four (4) weeks after the registration period has closed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this verification process.

16.  All the Winners and participants will be awarded E-CERT.

17. The Organizer has final authority on all matters.
